The patient flow attracted me to choose this college. There are well equipped departments and especially the cancer unit is the best. I filtered my college list according to the patient flow in all over Maharashtra. On the other side if we talk about cons, the college is 9 kms away from the city. The railway station is too far from the college so if you are coming from a very distant area, you may find travelling home a bit difficult. I got admission through NEET-UG. I scored a rank of AIR 57536.
The number of job opportunities in this course, lured me to pursue it. The teaching method is parallel to Competency Based Medical Education (CBME Curriculum). The internals will be conducted every 2 months and final exams at the end of year. The fee is a matter of concern since it's 12 lacs per annum of tuition fees and 75k for the hostel yearly.
I'm currently in second year. Internship is provided in the college itself and you'll be paid around 15k to 20k. Internship programme will be including all kinds of postings and you'll be guided by the best residents of the hospital.
The eligibility criteria for placement is to have a MBBS degree. There are no such specific recruiters, instead the graduates approach jobs via LinkedIn or apply physically. After I get my degree, I'll be pursuing for specialization i.e MD.
Gatherings are conducted in the start of the year. Fresher's party is organised by the seniors. The library here is well equipped and has many foreign journals. A huge sports complex is present in the campus. Sports complex has various activities like gym, badminton, lawn tennis, football, indoor games, basketball court, etc. The hostels are spacious, clean and the mess food has a wide variety. Registration for hostel is done at the time of admission process.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
