- The faculty are very friendly and are always ready to explain the topic till we understand it. They are also highly experienced and they imbibe their research into the teaching process.
- The buildings look modern and clean. I personally like the Japanese cooling technology in our hostels. They usually keep it during summers.
Dislikes
- Most of the buildings are still under construction so we cannot explore every place due to safety reasons.
- The exams for first year students are mostly just a subjective exam just like we had in school. Only from second year mostly we have a continuous assessment for better development.
Remarks :
We had 2 objective exams, the JEE mains and its second stage - JEE Advanced. Based on the rank of JEE advanced and some personal intuition I took up this course. The college is great. It is growing rapidly and is well known for research and innovation. To prepare for JEE I went through the rigorous coaching provided by Allen.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is very exciting and evergreen. It has a huge scope of growth so I took this course. All the faculty in IITH are extremely qualified with lots of experience. They are friendly and help the students a lot. The difficulty of the term exams is moderate. The teaching method is modern and elegant but is still a work-in progress.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship. I am in first year so I need more experience to go for an internship. As far as I know, we don't have a cumpolsary internship for chemical engineering and it is not very common to get an internship in the core department of chemical engineering.
Placement Experience :
Placement and job opportunities are great. You can get hired by a company like Accenture, Oracle, Adobe, JIO, Axis, Aziant and the like. You could also go for higher studies like MS or MBA. Personally, I want to go for an MBA after my 4 yr degree. The highest salary is about 40 lpa and average is 19 lpa. Atleast 85-95% get a placement minimum every year.
Campus Life :
Life at the campus is amazing. You get to meet and interact with some of the greatest minds in the country. The experience is a mix of academics, sports and cultural activities. Overall a holistic growth for any individual.

The campus placements are good and there are companies coming in every year for fresh talent but it all comes down to our talent. We are provided with an opportunity but we have to work for it ourselves.

Students who maintain a good academic record and possess strong technical and communication skills have better chances of getting placed. Generally, students with no active backlogs and a minimum academic percentage as specified by the recruiting company are eligible to participate in campus placements. A few recruiters visit the college for hiring, mainly for entry-level roles in software, IT support, and core engineering domains. However, the number of offers is limited, and only around 40–50% of students secure campus placements. The average salary package offered ranges from ?3–4 LPA, while the highest package varies depending on the company and the student's performance. The college also encourages students to apply for paid internships, which help them gain practical industry experience and improve their technical skills

I am still in my second year, so I havent sat for placements yet. But the college starts preparing us early with coding practice, projects, aptitude training, resume building sessions, and mock interviews. FRom interacting with seniors, I have heard that students who stay consistent with their skills get good opportunities

From what I have experienced the college starts preparing us for placements much earlier than I expected. We regularly have coding practice, project work, resume reviews, aptitude sessions and mock interviews, so you are improving little by little instead of waiting for the final year. The college also shares internship and job opportunities with students. I feel the support is definitely there but your results depend on how much effort you put into building your skills.

As a current student I haven't reached the final placement season yet but the college has already started preparing us. We get regular updates about internship opportunities, and many students apply from the early semester itself. Along with that there are sessions on resume writing, aptitude, communication skills and interview preparation. The college also encourages us to build projects and improve our technical skills, which helps while applying for internships. I feel these small efforts throughout the course will make a big difference when placements begun.
