No entrance exam for me I have joined for A college education might not be required for some jobs, but it can open many doors for you. No matter what kind of career you’re thinking of pursuing, a college degree or certification can provide you with important benefits you won’t get with only a high school diploma. With more and more employers looking for candidates who have college degrees or certifications, going to college is becoming a necessary part of building a future career.
Academic: The subjects that you will learn will be helpful in IT, Networking, and Communications related industries. For instance, my skill sets were used by an electrical company when I was an intern. You’ll not only be equipped with skillset but also be encouraged to further explore your interests in various fields, which CCE, albeit a new major, has mastered in recent years. We are encouraged to participate in various state, national and international competitions and CCE students have brought various accolades in all three levels. The best part about CCE is that you not only get to learn software design and development but also get understanding about hardware as well.
An internship is on most students’ minds — an opportunity to jumpstart their professional careers and supplement their courses with hands-on experience. Graduating seniors who applied for a full-time job and participated in an internship received 20% more job offers than those without internship experience (NACE, 2019 Study). Internships benefit both the student and the employee. On-the-job learning reinforces what you see in the classroom and teaches invaluable skills like time management, communication, working with others, problem-solving, and, most importantly, the willingness to learn. For employers, you can build relationships and prepare future employees.
The objectives of a student participating in an internships or co-op are to: Explore career alternatives prior to graduation. Integrate theory and practice. Assess interests and abilities in their field of study. Learn to appreciate work and its function in the economy. Develop work habits and attitudes necessary for job success. Develop communication, interpersonal and other critical skills in the job interview process. Build a record of work experience. Acquire employment contacts leading directly to a full-time job following graduation from college. Identify, write down, and carry out performance objectives (mutually agreed upon by the employer, the MCC experiential learning supervisor, and the student) related to their job assignment.
Faculty: Faculty members of CCE department are very experienced, I can tell you. Most of the faculty members are PhD from reputed college/university and are ready to help you as much as they can. They are a lot friendlier and easy to approach. They monitor you personally and students tend to develop a mentor-mentee relationship. They not only focus on the subject they’re teaching, moreover, give attention to practical applications of the subject. Almost every faculty member will give you a mini project which will not only require the application of the subject they’re teaching but also require you to improve other skill sets which are required. At the time it feels a lot but it is worth doing them.
The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.
Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.
