My Views about Digvijay College
Likes
- Faculties are very helpful and kind. Teaching style is fairly good. Classroom is similar to school classes which makes learning comfortable.
Dislikes
- Labs and practical facilities are limited. limited apparatus available, students have to share things to complete practicals. Most Computers are not functional, those which works stuck so much. Projectors are never used in class.
Remarks :
My friends told me that this is the best college for B.Sc. in Rajnandgaon district. We have to submit application form through computer centers then submit the physical document to college. Only criteria for taking admission is you should have a good percentage in your 12th class. There is no extra interview or any test taken later.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am going to prepare for government exams later and being a science student this course is easier for me. Exam time is flexible, only two exams per semester. first semester exams are conducted in month of December and January, before that one internal assessment is taken. For second semester exams are conducted in May. Fee is nominal and fee hike is very less likely to happen. while there is one scholarship option is there for every student within the college students can apply in different state and national level scholarship schemes if they are eligible.
Internships Opportunities :
There is very less internship opportunity for general degree students. As I am in my second semester I never met a chance to apply for any Internship opportunity. Most of the internship opportunities are available for BCA students.
Placement Experience :
College administration told us that companies like Vedanta provides campus placements but to limited students only with very low package. Most of the students prepare for other competitive exams. we can assume average package around ?50000, and highest package might go to 1.5-2 LPA. Percentage of students getting placement is very less. I am preparing for government exams with college studies.
Campus Life :
Annual function of college comes around January/February. There is a science workshop every year in month of September. Library is fairly big, every academic book is available, reading room is so good, newspapers and magazines are available. Every department conduct co-curricular activities every month. Sports competitions are held in Sept/Oct, college provide supportive environment for sports. I personally not applied for hostels because hostel is distant from college. I have rented a room which costs 3000 per month which is nearby the college.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
