A deep dive into life at NIT Raipur.
Remarks :
The college NIT Raipur is located in main city Raipur and has good connectivity. The college also having the good placements for IT branch . I used NIT Raipur's official website for selecting the college as my preference over other colleges . NIT Raipur having a distance of 4km from Raipur Junction.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am interested in Coding so i choose IT branch . As Information Technology is the best branch of Nit Raipur and having good placement rates in past years . As Nit Raipur is a college of national importance i choose it over other available options. Rest 20% based on Teacher Assessment.
Internships Opportunities :
Students get opportunities to do internships in their 3rd year. In college many companies come to recruit interns . Many students got internships and some of them get PPO's from the company. The stipend of the internship varies from 30k to 1.50 lacs which is a good amount .
Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The students can avail scholarships based on their category and family income . Students having family income less than 1 lac are need not to pay the tuition fees . There are many scholarships available for the students like NSP, ONGC, Reliance foundation etc.
Campus Life :
Nit Raipur provides a good campus life . College is having good crowd from all over the India. Nit Raipur organizes sports and extra curricular activities time to time . College has a football ground , a cricket field, a volleyball court, and many more indoor games. Nit Raipur organizes many fests like annual cultural fest Eclectika in the month of February. Sports fest Samar in the month of january. Tech fest Aavartan in the month of December . Nit Raipur has a central library having about 1 lac books and many journals and thesis. College classrooms are having digital boards ,Ac's and other essential facilities. College has many active clubs i.e Sahayog ,Robotics , Raaga, Sanskriti, NSS, and many more.
Hostel Facilities :
There are 5 Hostels for boys and 3 for girls . College provides limited seats in hostels as a results students opts for P.G outside the campus . Hostel allocation is based on the academic performance of the student in their semester exams. Hostel food is good and having no issues. One can fill the admission form to opt for the hostel and based on his/her academic performance hostel is allotted.
Interview Experience :
There is no interview or GD for the admission process . One can get admission in the college through Josaa counselling and CSAB counselling . One has to give Jee mains and have to pass JEE mains with good enough percentile to get admission in the college. Admission process in Nit Raipur is very smooth.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placement Experience :
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

Students are eligible for placement from the start of the 3rd year. Approximately 200 company visit every year for hiring process. The average CTC of the college placement is above 7 lakhs. The highest offer received in college is in crore. Around 85% of the students get placed at the end of the 4th year.
