Remarks :
This is a tier-2 government institute situated in center of Raipur city, which makes its easily to accessible for students. It has a huge campus area, which includes hostels, grounds, gardens and canteen. The institute has vast number of students from different regions. Also it established in 1956 which makes it a renowned institute. For getting admission, you need to qualify in JEE Mains examination and further enroll in JOSSA counselling, after getting a seat in counselling you have to physically report in institute for further documentations.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. They are very easy to approach and helpful in nature, they help us solving doubts and gives us tips in study.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The estimated B.Tech. fee at Nit Raipur is around 1.2 lakhs per Year, and 6.9 lakhs to 7.8 lakhs for 4 years, which includes tuition and hostel payments. Students from SC/ST/PWD categories are exempted from paying tuition fees. There are some remissions based on family income, if the income is below 1 lakhs per annum receives a full tuition fee remission. Those with income between 1 to 5 lakhs per annum get one-third remission.
Campus Life :
The campus life here is very enjoyable, there are several activities other than study too. There are several clubs in NIT Raipur like Photography club, Dance club, cultural club, Motorsport club, Aviation club, Gaming club, Robotics club etc. There are several fest happens throughout the year. Garba night in Navaratri, music and sport fest in winter are and annual fest in Springs in which a star performer is invited.

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
