Remarks :
This course is only one of its type in whole North India. This course give us many options for our post graduation and the curriculum of this course is very good. This course will give us opportunity to do internship in industries during our summer vacations and also make us do individual research in our 3 Rd year.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course because of the diverse options we have for post graduation. We go to research, industrial job and are aligible for government jobs. We can choose biotechnology, microbiology, forensic science, chemistry, subjects related to food etc. Teachers have done PhD from recognised university and they put all there efforts to deliver us the best they can. Microbiology teachers do there best to make this subject intersting and easy. They often organise workshops and seminar for students. After end of each semester, which is mostly of 4 to 5 months, semesters exam is taken. Difficulty level is medium. Our fees might be more than fees of other courses but I would say it's worth it because of the practicals, industrial visits and workshops that arranged for us.
Campus Life :
Campus life is quite nice. Annual meraki fest is conducted in month of February. Our library consist of more than 5000 books. Nss unit of our college often organise open theatre for students to show their talent.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
