The choice of college depends on the rank you have scored in the NEET exam . MKCG is the second best college in our state and according to my all India rank I got a seat here . A state counselling will be done and you will be chosen according to your rank . So that is the reason I chose this college for my degree.
I always wanted to become a doctor and so I chose this stream . All the faculties in our college are also doctors and have specialisation in various subjects of medicine . The teaching is good . Every department has its own significance. Internal exams are held from time to time and there are four professional exams that are held for four years of MBBS . As this is a government college so fees is very less . The whole course comes down to only 2 lakh rupees for 4.5 years . Students can apply for various state level and national level scholarships.
Internship is mandatory in our college and in every government and even some private medical colleges . After 4.5 years of mbbs 1 year of paid internship is there in the same hospital of the college . After that we can opt for higher studies or can join in hospital as per our wish
As we are doing MBBS from a government college we are bound to do 1 year of paid internship in our college . The salary is about ?40000 per month for this internship . After internship we can either do higher studies like appearing for NEETPG and USMLE or we can join any hospital for duty . The salary goes on increasing as we do more higher studies .
Various fests are conducted in our college from time to time . Also intermedics which is a competition between various medical colleges of our state takes place . Some names are PARADISE , VARCHASV . The students union of the college is responsible for smooth conduct of these fests . There is a large central library where there are many books related to medical science. The library rooms are fully air conditioned. Sports activities regularly takes place in our college . There is a large playground for the sports activity . Also there is indoor badminton court and basketball court . There are many clubs like drama tic club , academic club, sports club, cultural club etc . Every club has its own Instagram page . Hostels are very cheap as this is a medical college . There are total 4 gents hostel and 2 ladies hostel and new hostels are also being constructed. The food in mess is very good and affordable and each hostel has its own mess .
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
