Social life- quite good Bad aspects - Low placement rate, low internship rate, high cost of education, low return on investment, high living expenses during College days.
I came to B Pharm because I had interest in chemistry. And pharama is more or less related to chemistry only. So i planned to go for MBA after degree and i am going for that only. Most of teachers have the PHD qualifications. So i say na don't doubt about infrastructure and qualifications of teachers of d y Patil colleges. Each semester has around 4-5 months and I had 8 semester total. So now I am in my last Semester. I.e. in 8th semester. And I feel 2nd and 3rd year of b pharm is quite tough compered to 1st and 4th year. And syllabus is fully according to PCI ( pharmacy council of India ) so it help to prepare for gate or gpat or niper exam as well. College has only Goverment approved scholarship mostly whose only Maharashtra students can take benefits.
For the placement, they want at least 7 CGPA overall and no backlogs. This is condition and students should fullfill the need to companies as well. College has Recently visitor like TCS Life sciences services, Cipla, Madtronic etc. i think I heard max package is around 3.5LPA from TCS for the sigma role and minimum is around 2LPA something for the MR role i guess. For my batch, Batch of 2024 ( I'm in Final Year only) , students didn't got placement. Placement percentage is in one digit percentage only. I am going for MBa after this.
College has 8/10 campus life. Only thing college hasn't is college ground. We don't have our ground. In the college, there is sport week in the month of March every years. In same month, there is Antarang ( annual fest ) where good food & activities like dance, drama, act etc. to be held. Talking about college library, it's outstanding. College is no left behind in academic Journey. College has no social groups other than the NSS. And college hostel, it's very very very expensive. One of my friend give around 1L for each semester in which they provide each service like food, shelter, sanitation etc. but I will Suggest to take flat on Rene near by to college instead of hostel.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
