Pretty good college if you are interested in Economics.
Likes
- I like Student Centre facilities and Cafeteria Area and so much of socialising happens there.
- Faculty are very experienced with good qualifications. Their teaching and course handling methods are above mark and calculative.
Dislikes
- Hostels sometimes because they are surrounded by honey bees and also there are long power outages sometimes.
- Our campus is surrounded by forest which is dangerous sometimes because we have seen snakes in the campus here and there.
Remarks :
I joined the college for economics. The college. We have appeared for the CUET entrance test. Admission depends on CUET score and reservation quota as well. The faculty is very sophisticated and has good qualifications.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the college primarily for economics and data analytics. We have experienced faculty members who have excellent qualifications from reputed institutions. We have regular interim exams every month and these happen 3 times in a semester end semester exams are conducted at the end of the semester. Exams conducted are designed to increase the student’s critical thinking skills as well as precise answering skills. There is a 5 percent fee hike every year and SC/ST students will have lower annual fees than General category students. Merit Students can have a scholarship on the tuition fee
Internships Opportunities :
I have previously done an internship at CESS Hyderabad (Research Institute) and that was done by myself and not through college placement. EY, Societe Generale, Exim Bank, and NSE have offered internships as well and with good stipends. They offer projects relating to data analysis and reporting, Handling various other projects relating to Credit Risk modeling, Risk and Portfolio analysis, etc.
Placement Experience :
Placements and internships at the college are handled by the placement cell here. Maintaining a decent CGPA is necessary for good placement opportunities. We have recruiters like EY, Societe Generale, Good Business Lab, NSE, Exim Bank, etc. The average package is 5 LPA for Data analyst/ financial analyst roles and the highest package received was 9 LPA. 75 percent of students get the placements. My plans after getting the degree are to work for 2-3 years and go for an MBA after that.
Campus Life :
Our campus has adequate social life as well. We have ethnic and cultural events every year. We have clubs also like a Dance club, Theatre club, Quiz club, etc. We have sports facilities like Gymnasium, Football and Volleyball grounds, Badminton Courts, Table Tennis, Carroms and Chess in the indoor games area. Coming to the library we have various reputed books and publications related to economics, public policy, political science, etc. We also have an E-Book library and access to various magazine subscriptions. We also have Indiastat and EPWRF subscriptions for access to various data related to economics, public policy and governance, and others, etc. Hostel rooms are good with basic facilities. Hostel fees are included in the annual fees. Food in the mess is decent with affordable rates.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
