Likes
- I like the most about the college is its campus life. Eveybody from teachers, guards, to students, is very friendly, helpful and cooperative. It makes the campus life interesting and happy.
- I also like the campus building and the map of the building, its infrastructure etc.
Dislikes
- I dislike the help desk of the college at the time of admissions. They dont ted to the students effectively which left them confused and lost.
- Also I dislike the behaviour of teachers at the time of semester end. Because teachers only focus on brught students at that time leaving average students behind.
Remarks :
I chose this college because of the courses it offered. I was late to take admisison and I was left with less choices so I took up admission in this college. Also it offers good sstudy in the course I opted for. As I am a sports prson this college attracted me alot towards it because it has many sports and games like Basketball, Football, and especially Cricket. It also has some bad aspects like many courses are not offered in this college like BCOM+LLB etc. Also some more things are there like some classes are not properly ventilated etc. I took up admission in this college because many of my friends were in this college and they suggested me to take admission in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course I am pursuing is BA HISTORY {HONS}. The teachersin this course are all well educated and know their subject efficiently. The teachings methods are quite nornal but effecient too. There is semester system in the college. Odd semester exams are held at the time of Nov-Dec amd even semester exams are held at the time of May-June. The difficulty level is normal and the exam paper is made in sugc a way that even a below average student can also pass. Mid semester exams are also held. The cost to study or admission fees is normal and afforfable. For my course it ranges between 24000-35000 per year. There are scholarship opportunities also like sports quota and if you have participated in olympics, your study is free.
Placement Experience :
The placement and job opportunities in the college are less. In my course there are no placement opportunities but in other courses like BBA BCA there are placement opportunities. Only the rarest of group gets placement and the percentage of students grtting it is less than 25%. My plans after getting the degree is to crack civil exams.
Campus Life :
The life at the campus is so good and interesting. Everyone is very friendly and mixed up with everyone. Groupism is minimum. The colege fest Karvaan is always a big hit and it consists of three nightd- Himachali Night, Haryanavi Night and Punjabi Night. It is held in the months of March-April. The library is also well mantained and ventilated where a peaceful environment is there. Studying in thr library is very effective and fun. Alot of books are availabe in the library apart from the college syllabus. There are many clubs also according to students interests and talents like dance clubs - DSW & LASSYA , singing club -Saptak and acting club - AAGAAZ. There are also many societies which offer many activities and social works. All this makes the campus life very active and fun. I didnt opted for hostel as I rented PG in sector 15 A.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
