It's good but not the best
Likes
- The societies are very active and this is a great opportunity to explore and grow in your interests. In pgdav college societies often go for interstate University level competitions. This is the best thing about this college.
- The canteen of the college is one of the largest canteens in Delhi university colleges. The ground is also very spacious and the NCC and sports team are also very active. This could be a great opportunity for people who have intrest in sports.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is not that good. The Washrooms are not maintained. College has 2 buildings. The new building is fine but the old building had poor infrastructure. With fans not working properly and broken windows.
- There is no strictness in college about attending classes. This might be a good thing for most of the students. But this actually makes students reckless and lazy towards their career and studies.
Remarks :
This college is affiliated to Delhi university. It offers descent placements and internships. And the admission procedure was based on xii class percentage. But now because of NEP, it's on the basis of CUET score
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course i.e. BCOM Program is a nice degree for commerce students. It's the go to option for every commerce passout. The course includes basics of finance, eco and business. Their are 6 sems and exams are held 6 times. But now because of NEP, their are 8 sems and exams are also held 8 times.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship so far, but there are so many opportunities if one desire to engage themself in an internship. Placement cell very actively posts internships for every core and field. The stipends are also of almost every range depending on the roles in internship.
Placement Experience :
The placement job opportunities at PGDAV college is descent. The placement cell is quite active and posts about various internships for various fields very often. The highest package offered for My course was about 20 lakhs and the average package was about 4.5- 5 lakhs per annum.
Campus Life :
The societies and clubs in PGDAV college are very active and interesting. This is a great opportunity for everyone to explore and grow in their interests. This college doesn't provide any hostel facility .

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
