Likes
- Campus infra: although small, the campus is aesthetically pleasing with a lot of greenery. It is disable - friendly, equipped with a lift and many ramps. Also, it is easily accessible for everyone.
- Peaceful campus life with a Great location and regular activities. Nice faculty.
Dislikes
- Rigorous curriculum. It is demanding for my course, timings being from 9-5 almost everyday. The student is required to be on their toes with regular submissions, files, tests, attendance. The schedule allows lesser free time than expected.
- Small campus with no ground for athletics and football, tennis etc. No society for western music and Indian classical dance.
Remarks :
In 2021, admissions were based purely on the board exam marks obtained in physics, chemistry, math/biology. Now admissions are based on only CUET scores. No GD/PI. Chose the college for the following aspects: 1. Great location: Hauz Khas being a safe and peaceful area close to many happening places made it an ideal choice. 2. Transport: convenient since autos and bus stops are close to the college and it is within walking distance from the metro station. 3. Unique courses and reputation: it is well known in the DU circuit for its quality scientific curriculum and an array of unique courses like biochemistry, microbiology, food technology, elementary education, and journalism. Cons: 1. lack of a brand name. It is well known within DU but lacks familiarity outside. I picked the college mostly for the course and location.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose food technology for its growing scope and because it seemed interesting to learn. The faculty are extremely qualified with PhD and most of them teach well with good insights. The majority of the teaching is through the lecture method while the rest is demonstrated or learned hands-on during practicals in the lab. Exams are held at the end of each semester and they are fairly easy if one does the PYQs thoroughly. The YEARLY fee is between 30,000-40,000. Many freeship and scholarship schemes are available as per DU policies. The college regularly updates the students about the same.
Internships Opportunities :
Industrial internships are the best kind for food technology. Most people in the batch intern at Mother Dairy and Delhi Milk Scheme for industrial experience. It specializes in skills like food microbiology, food safety, food quality management, etc.
Placement Experience :
Placements are sparse and on-campus placements are limited to home science courses. No information is available for the packages offered. Students are encouraged to go for a master's instead of gaining work experience. I too am looking forward to a master's degree in food technology or packaging after graduation.
Campus Life :
The annual cultural two-day fest is called FERIA held in February. It is open to the students of the Delhi University. The library is extensive and useful with most of the course books and reference books available. Classrooms are simple but spacious. Many social groups for social entrepreneurship, civil services, equal opportunity cells, etc. are present. Many sports are actively played and the campus has a basketball court, badminton court, table tennis, taekwondo, as well as a gym open during college hours. No hostel is present on campus but many PGs are available in Hauz Khas, Kalu Sarai, Shahpur Jaat, Malviya Nagar, Saket, etc.

But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
