- Faculty of the department is very friendly and supportive.
- College canteen is very nice and the college has provided a girls common room for girls.

- It becomes congested on weekdays in the College.
- There are very less number of washrooms for girls.
Remarks :
University of Delhi is a highly reputed college and Shaheed Bhagat Singh college is vastly known for it's geography hons course and is a highly reputed college. The admission process was cut off based and the minimum cut off for geography hons was 95.25%.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty of geography department is highly skilled and most of the teachers have phd degrees and are highly experienced in research field and have many published researches. Faculty is very friendly and supportive. Exams are conducted on semester basis and internals are held throughout the semester.
Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are being provided by the college mostly in commerce department. Geography students get to be a part of various internships and can also do research work with the regarding faculties.
Campus Life :
The campus life is very joyful and there are various societies with different interests. Events and programs are held on regular basis. College has a huge library with many books and classrooms are very vast, practical labs are facilitated with computers and AC. Canteen has a wide variety of dishes and taste is satisfying as per the cost.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated
