I just wanted get in a nearby college. There’s no entrance exam, just filled a form with basic information and credentials. There was no interview or tests. I got admission just by filling a form and fee.
I chose this course as it provides a foundation and basics that will help me a lot during MBA and I just wanted to do a course which is business related. I'm not sure about the qualifications of the faculty and teaching methods are pretty basic(almost as same as school). It's a six semester course, each semester is 6 months long. But in reality every semester isn't exactly 6 months, it fluctuates according to exam timings, etc. There are two types of exam. First one is internal which is taken by the college it self and the other one is external which is held by the hnb garhawal university. Difficulty level in both exams is low but the problem is time duration. There's no fee hike that I have noticed.
Internship is a thing that they provide after 4th semester that would help getting a job. Campus placements are rare. Highest package is around 7 lacs probably. I have no data about placements chances but it's rare. After degree, Masters is a path I would go for but in any other university.
College hours is only 3 hours so there’s no extra time to spend in campus that's also because of certain restrictions. There are no clubs and infrastructure is basic. Library is also basic. Sports and extracurricular activities are no special.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
