I have completed my 10th class and gone for Polytechnic Collage and skipped 12th. I have just filled the MSBTE board application admission form and got the N.I.T Collage but unfortunately due to some issue I ended up with Priyadarshini Polytechnic college. Admission procedure is based on your 10/12th class percentage. No entrance exam is needed for diploma courses. And yes, collage fees may vary on castes.
I have interest in coding from start and my math is also not good. So instead of doing 12th class I went for Polytechnic course. So, I took the "Diploma in Computer Technology (CM)" course which includes all the coding subjects and computer related subjects. The teacher staff are good but some of them didn't know many things like in programming they teach only what's written in the books. But also, some of them teach great. But you should not completely be based on collage study yourself from YouTube or you will get fail/back. The collage has and 3-year semester-based pattern with two class tests. The first year is easy if you come by doing 12th class but for 10th class student it is hard. And other all are coding & programming subjects which are easy and scoring. For assistance you can contact Thakre Sir.
The collage provides internship given by the H.O.D. of the branch for which you'll have to pay. The internship is compulsory as its marks includes in your result. I have completed my internship in "Python with Django Framework" which is neither good nor bad.
For diploma/polytechnic collage, student don't take placements and jobs after completing the course because it's like 11th & 12th. Specially the Computer Branch students. They go for engineering. But the students with mechanical type branch can get job depends on their skills. As of me, after this degree course I will go for engineering college.
College organizes fest, functions and sports. But they are not that good means average. In three-year, time period every year gatherings and functions occur. Collage have library, computer lab (Windows and Linux both) and other labs for different courses like mechanical, electrical, etc. and water filter. Unfortunately, they don't take you for picnics and all. Sports are also good. The infrastructure is excellent but there is no maintenance (like dirty washrooms, water purifier doesn't work properly, classrooms are average, etc. ) There is no hostel in college, but you can take private rooms or hostel which are located near the college. As per me, you should go for other college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
