Remarks :

1. Currently the only college in India with sole focus on Operations Management 2. Placement opportunities are strictly limited to roles that are relevant to the course 3. The campus is very small, with very little infrastructural upgrade scope, but an upside is that everyone knows everyone on the campus 4. Admission is through the SNAP exam yearly and it is followed by GE/PI and WAT 5. Coming to SNAP preparation, it's easier than CAT/XAT. If one has diligently prepped for CAT, then he/she may not put any extra effort into SNAP

Course Curriculum Overview :

1. I chose this course because this was the next logical step given my experience in the Automotive/Tech industry. I wanted to get to know the management aspects of business, hence this course 2. Faculty members are mostly PhD holders, but I believe the amount of faculty is less in college. And the college depends on external faculties for important subjects 3. Teaching methods are hybrid. Where we have both online/offline classes 4. Term exams were conducted once a year and the difficulty level was Medium 5. The cost to study is HIGH, given the poor infrastructure the college has, and it also is not justifiable 6. Scholarship is given to the top 3 students each semester (75K, 50K, 35K)

Internships Opportunities :

Internship Opportunity received from SIOM : 1. Pidilite Industries 2. Role - Supply Chain and Ops intern (Stipend 3lpa for 2 Months) 3. Project: Warehouse Management 4. Task: To improve the productivity of RDC by implementing various methodologies and improving efficiency

Placement Experience :

1. Eligibility Criteria - For big brands, we must have no backlogs and a decent CGPA. Profile matters too 2. A few recruiters - Aarti Ind, Accenture, Pidilite, Adani, airtel, Stromberg, Asian paints, Capgemini, Grant Thorton, KPMG, Deloitte, McKinsey, etc.

Campus Life :

1. We have an annual fest named DRISHTI and it is conducted every year in January 2. The library is loaded with offline and online resources. It is well maintained too with extremely knowledgeable librarians 3. Amneties in the classroom - Projector, White Board, Smart TV, Mic, Charging Slots on each desk, WiFi 4. Sports Facility- 1 indoor turf, 1 outdoor multipurpose turf, indoor game room (Chess, Pool, TT, Foosball, Carrom) 5. Student-run committees - Placement, Alumni, Guest Lecture, Communications & PR, Admissions, Sponsorship, CSR, Consulting, Cultural, Competitions, Sports, Entrepreneurship, IT, Library, Mess, Pet, Hostel & Health committees 6. Food Quality - 6/10, Menu - 6/10 7. NO option to rent a house outside the hostel premises. It is strictly a residential course. Even locals need to avail of hostel facility

An industry focused learning experience

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
