- We don't have ac in clg Mumbai is very humid so we need ac which they have promised to install in this vacation let's see
Remarks :
Knowing that Kj Somaiya is one of the greatest colleges in mumbai. I live nearby in Navi Mumbai. I didn't want to leave my family and friends yet. So as per my cut-off and my marks I had many options to choose from but this college had my heart since childhood as if I have manifested it. The college is good, faculty is good, the campus is the best part and placements are also more than any other engineering college in my cut-off. The college has a huge fest. I must say my college life is wonderful here. I had admission here through Pera cet where I scored 91%ile They accept exams matchet, jee, sat, per cent. The only syllabus is What You Prepare for Jee that's it.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is best I must say. They provide us large number of options to choose from not only in the IT field but also in other fields like mech aerospace etc. They also offer exposure course that are related to our hobby almost 70 exposure courses to choose from. Faculties are very well trained and friendly. They teach us everything theoretically and lab experience too. Term exams are very easy to pass because they offer us unit test+term exams for passing and it is also relative grading which brings students at ease and concentrate on other things as well and not be a book worm. Ik the college fees are high but they provide the quality here. I have got a financial aid scholarship. In which I got 30% off on total college fees.
Placement Experience :
I am in 1st year yet so I don't know about jobs and placements but yes about intership we have an internship cell as the campus runs an startup school. We have a lot of opportunities for internship. Most people get placed later in the intership company only. Highest salary is CTC 52Lpa and average is 7-9Lpa. We have a choice to either sit for placements or complete our further studies in abroad through exchange program From the last 2 years, 100% of students who sat for placements got into placements. Also, the eligibility criteria is to earn 10 credits throughout the 4 years to sit for placements. 1 credit means 40hrs of work in college campus teams or internships. My plans right now are to sit for placements and get job asap.
Campus Life :
As I live nearby I don't need a PG or hostel but I have many friends who live in a hostel inside the campus. The campus is HUGE. Such big place in Mumbai is not possible. We have lots of fest such as tech fest, sports fest and the greatest cultural fest. Tech fest is the first fest Sports fest comes after And cultural fest is the last fest College has 10 to 15 clubs 70+ exposure course and a separate sports complex for Som students. Libraries are the beauty of this college. We have 3 floor library itself in the engineering college only. 1st floor readding room 2nd-flo book issue 3rd-floor big library for study College has 5 canteens 2 mess and 2 different hostels. Mess food is best I personally when don't bring tiffin we have to pay 60 rs for 1 time unlimited food. We friends always love their chole bhature we go there every Friday just to have chole bhature. Mess food feels like home.

It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience
Placement Experience :
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.

Placement are very good there are multiple job opportunities provided in a college multiple companies also visit for the placement in second third year students also internship provided and multiple students get PPO from that internship so but in 2024 the internship and placement both ratio is little low or the highest placement gone till now is only 35 lakh per annum
