That the college is affiliated with delhi University. The college provides a very open and interactive experience with various disciplines of students. One gets to experience what they are studying in real life through the facilities that are provided by the college. Let's take the example of mushroom hut in thenold building, aquariums, ponds, botanical garden in new building. Which provide a new way for the student to interact with the course material and learn it's application in real life.
Since this is an applied course, the curriculum is built in a way where most important or practical subjects that are asked in entrance exams, competition are given early and with New Education Policy the 4th year has been added where it can serve as your Msc. and the student is elegible to peruse Csir-Net directly after a 4year programme. The faculty anf staff is very goof with teachers ranting from inexperienced to experienced ones who have written books used in Students curriculums such as Pradeep Sir's Organic chemistry books, Rajni Arora ma'ams developmental biology book and much more. The exams were timely that is every 6 months with a 2month break after each semester for persuing internships. The fee hike from my first year and second year was only 1000 rs that is in 1st year i had to pay 13095 rs and in 2nd year i gave around 14000rs. No financial assistance was taken by me.
No i have not opted for any internship to date. This is because due to covid the students were not getting any holidays or breaks. In 2024 we will be getting our first 2 month break and oppertunity to intern.
Placement Cell was not there in our college but this year the cell has been formed and first rounds for our seniors will be done. My plans after the degree include either going for a job or studying for masters and phd.
Syntria the life science society regularly organizes seminars on various topics that interest our youth today. Books and journals are very much available in the library, i personally have never faced a scarcity issue when it comes to study material in Library. Aaina, Lensation, Renaissance are some societies run by individuals. There is no hostel provided by the college as there is currently no infrastructure built for it. The students who live here either rent a PG or room in Alipur itself or Jahangirpuri or Gtb nagar whichever they feel fulfills their needs. The hostel in alipur is on the expensive side of things but all in all decent enough to live in.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
