My sister used to go to the same college and her experience was very good. The college is currently under renovation and hence it is causing some delays but the campus is huge and I also completed my Junior College years at KC college so there are familiar faces. There is no external exam for KC it's based on the 12th standard marks itself the cut off for general students is around 87% but for Sindhi students is around 65-70%
I chose the course as I was interested in learning the management aspects of a business. The faculty is too notch some teachers are strict which is a given and some have fun with their students while maintaining the teacher-student boundaries. The term exams were conducted in April last month and were fairly easy it depends on the students and his they prepare for it. As BMS is a self-fin course the fee is a bit high.
Yes, I have opted for a work-from-home internship at Happequity which was provided to me by the placement cell of KC College where the role of the students is to market the stock market courses created by the company and try to sell as many as possible. The stipend is 10,000 per month and the duration is 2 months. There are also incentives for students who perform well.
I just completed my first year of a degree college and I already got many internship opportunities from the college itself. The college has a dedicated group for placements and internship opportunities known as the placement cell of KC College. Most of the students do internships that are offered by this committee and as most of them have family businesses they use this experience there. My plans after getting my degree are to start my own business and use the skills that I learned through my internships in my business.
Kiran is the biggest fest of KC College as almost all colleges in Mumbai participate in it. The library is huge and there are a wide variety of books available for the students which can not only help them study for their exams but also fulfil their desires to read fiction or nonfiction books. The sports room was recently renovated and are now an AC room with games like Table Tennis, chess and carrom, students can enjoy these games after their lectures for the day are over. Kiran the fest- https://www.instagram.com/kiranthefest?igsh=MWViaGgycHJycmEydw== This is the group run on Instagram by the students of KC College to show their passion for this mega event. There are no hostel facilities in the college, the students will have to go to their houses or their PGs after college hours. There is a canteen in our college which is famous for its good food.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
