After 10th I had options like science and diploma for engineering and I didn’t wanted to give JEE but wanted to be a engineer so I choose diploma engineering and about choosing this college it was alloted to me by government rounds conducted by dte. And also the college is popular and renowned so my relatives also insisted
Cs/it is in boom now but no idea about future but Extc is definitely gonna be there as microcontroller and semiconductor industries increasing in India due to made in India. So I took admission in Extc. The course in my college offers the best education as our college is autonomous it has its own syllabus so they include topics which are relevant in today’s market. The faculty is excellent, they have masters and few even have phd. Faculty are friendly. Scholarship are also available. Fees is less only as our college’s courses are government aided except cs/it so my yearly fees varied from 4000-16000.
We do have compulsory internship in our 5th Sem. We don’t have lectures in 5th Sem. We don’t have exams too, we have viva about what we did in internship. The companies for internship are given by our college we can also go through our own contact.
Most of the students don’t do job after diploma they go for bachelors degree but still our college has too training and placement officer he will guide u if u wanna do job. Even the hod have contacts so he can also place u in companies
When u enter the college it’s totally like a dream Bollywood college. Because the infrastructure is so great. Washrooms are also clean. College has centralised ac. And by Bollywood dream college I also meant about the college fest. As Sbmp is a college under svkm. Students of svkm can attend any fest under svkm like Umang, Kshitij so it fun. SBMP has many clubs like cultural committee (which is shit), maths club, drone club etc
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
