St.Teresa's College, Ernakulam is one of the best women's colleges all over India. This prestigious institution is well-known for its excellent academics and dedicated faculties. Along with academics, equal importance is given to arts and sports. Pupils are provided with a handful of opportunities to exhibit hidden talents and creativity. When I started looking for a suitable college for my graduation, the name St.Teresa's was recommended by a lot of my friends and family members. Admission to any course was strictly based on the score acquired for the Higher Secondary Board Examination. Candidates must have at least a 50% pass mark. There were no group discussions or written tests. However, the selected ones had to attend a quick interaction with the faculties of the respective departments. From them, further details regarding the course as well as admission proceedings were received. I hadn't undergone any advanced preparations for the admission, as the entire process was easily manageable.
The primary reason for choosing Zoology as the mainstream for graduation was my fondness for biology-based courses. Also, there are a handful of opportunities for further research on this subject. Senior faculty members of the department had PhD or MPhil qualifications. And junior faculty members were mostly post-graduates. Most of them were owned additional BEd/MEd degrees. Each professor was highly dedicated with great teaching skills. Semester exams were conducted every 6 months. Thus we had to attend 2 sem exams per year (2 sem exams * 3 years = Total of 6 sem exams). As question papers were prepared from within the syllabus, the exams were mostly easy to crack. An affordable fee of 4000/- per year was charged for graduation. Around 26 scholarships are provided for meritorious students as well as reserved students. Some of the scholarships are the Central Sector Scholarship, The Kerala State Higher Education Scholarship, the Prathibha Scholarship, the Hindi Scholarship, etc.
Interested students are offered internship opportunities within the college as well as in various companies and firms all over the state. Students are allowed to join the faculty members of their respective departments for research in the final year of their course. Internships can be done in both online and offline mode. Some may be a one-day program, while others can extend to 2-3 months. Students have the liberty to decide the duration of their internship program. Some of the companies offering internship chances are Commondove, Winray, Wipro, Nikazu Pvt Ltd, Wahylab Solutions, etc. While a few companies offer stipends, others provide certificates after the completion of the internship. Students are given projects or tasks based on the course syllabus. The certificate received for the internships can be really helpful in the period of placements or job fairs. The college is also organizing weekly or monthly for students who are yearning for a work experience outside the classroom.
The college has been providing job opportunities or campus placements for any interested student with a pass mark of 60%. Students are permitted to attend placement interviews from the 4th semester. Before attending job fairs, they have to register their slots in the placement cell of the college. Some of the frequently visited recruiting companies are Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Amazon, TCS, Deloitte, Standard Chartered Bank, etc. All students of some batches get placements while some companies select those who excel in interviews as well. The highest salary package will vary according to the posts offered, while every recruited student is ensured an average payment of 2.00 LPA. Every year, at least 30% of students among the applied ones are getting placements in various companies. Students are given enough chances to attend job fairs so that most of them will get placement from the college itself. After finishing graduation, I decided to join a post-graduation course in the same stream.
St.Teresa's has a vast and friendly campus atmosphere. Though roaming during class hours is not allowed, students are free to spend leisure hours in campus areas. The renowned Teresian Week is conducted in January. Other notable celebrations are Folk Cultural Fest, Music Fest, French Fest, etc. The college owns a vast library rich in literary pieces, journals, and research guides. Students can also take books for rent. Classrooms and labs have properly maintained furniture. Also, projectors are available for conducting classroom presentations. The active clubs of the college include the Drama Club, Quiz Club, Poet's Club, Arts Club, Library Club, Bhoomitra Sena, STC Consumer Club, Speakers' Forum Debate Club, and Tourism Club. A well-guarded hostel accommodative of 150 people is present in both Arts Block and Science Block. There is a hostel mess providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for residents. A fee of 21000/- is charged for 10 months and 3000/- for mess.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
