Likes
- The college pushes you a lot to participate in cultural and academic opportunities available. These clubs and activities helps you flourish a lot in your personal approach towards life. They conduct a lot of seminars and discussions. They take a balance approach between cultural and academic life.
- Within the limited campus area, a paid gym is also available. Old blocks have bigger classrooms while new blocks have infrastructurally better atmosphere. There are two big auditoriums in which 1 is AC.
- The faculties are all knowledgeable. But according to the department this may vary. My department had good teachers. Yet it had an idea of 'do it yourself'.
Dislikes
- The campus is very small and congested. Some classrooms are very small and cubical. There is only a single tree in each block. There is no sports ground or support for sports as much as arts.
- The syllabus and curriculum are simple and very textual. The questions are all within the syllabus and not application based. Atleast for my course.
Remarks :
It is a well-known college in Kerala. The students of this college are famous in the arts field. The admission to my course was through merit. It considered the 12th mark and put out a rank list from which they shortlisted the candidates. For BSc Fashion Apparel there is an entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The syllabus for BA Economics is impressive covering a wide range of economic concepts. It is not academically tiring. The students can choose the complementary subjects between maths and sociology. This helps them curate the syllabus socially or scientifically. The faculty are all qualified. Most of them have PhD. Some are good at teaching yet some can be worse. They are all knowledgeable but their teaching skills are questionable. Most of them systematically provide notes. You have to put a bit of extra effort yourself to score good marks. The exams were all conducted on time. The results were also published within 1 month. Exams are all not that hard. But the marks you receive differ according to the teacher. I had to pay around 25000 as a total tuition fee. But I think there is fee concession for different reservation categories. There are a lot of scholarships available for low income and reserved category students.
Internships Opportunities :
No internships are provided by the college. If you want to do internships you have to find it yourself. You can create a lot of connections and the name of this college gives you an impressive address which in turn helps you secure good opportunities.
Placement Experience :
As of now, placements are offered only to certain departments. In UG, placements are provided only in Bcom, BCA, and Computer science departments. For PG I think a little more placements are available. But with 60+ departments the provided placements are questionable.
Campus Life :
The college conducts a wide range of tests. Apart from college fests, each department has its fests. There is teresian week which is a week-long college fest. MG University Kalotsavam is a great matter of concern to the college. The campus is small in size. A total of 3 blocks are situated in around 300-metre radius. Clubs are all active. All the programs are student-led. Joining these clubs and activities provides great exposure to the students. Since it's a girl's college every opportunity that comes up is your opportunity. You can have a voice in everything happening in the college. If you are part of these clubs and activities it can help you boost your confidence a lot.

I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
