- Great faculty and infrastructure , peaceful campus life and opportunities given to us by our seniors.
- The fact that there is no outside interference and wrong influence inside the institute.
Dislikes
- The 75 % attendence criteria is something which is a real hassel ,binds us to the classroom striping us from other opportunities. They should atleast be lenient about it rather than removing it .
- The gender ratio is completely messed up ie. 14 girls over 100 boys(approx.)
- The learning environment with respect to skills required for a job seems lacking. The curriculum is too focused over the subject not on acquiring skills.
Remarks :
IIITDM Kurnool in itself was not very well developed and lacked many of the facilities, But in the last two years, this Institute has greatly developed and enhanced its infrastructure and facilities. As far as the cut-off is concerned only JEE ranks under 35000 can consider CSE or AIDS here in JoSAA but those under 45000 can try for ECE, ME. But don't get too disheartened , you can still get good branches in CSAB CSE/CSE(DD)-45000/50000 AIDS-45000 ECE/ECE(DD)-60000 ME/ME(DD)-65000 So at least try to get an appropriate branch which you are interested in. Placements are OK (not too great but still appreciable ) Avg - 9.51 Lpa Those who want the IT tag in an "Institute of National Importance" and are hardworking should give it a shot.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The curriculum is great with the best faculty (at least for some students). faculties are all Ph.D holders with great knowledge in their respective fields. Mech. and CSE faculty are the best bunch and play the role of mentors. The Curriculum is intended more towards Higher studies examinations like GATE(for ECE and AIDS especially). Recently Entrepreneurship has been promoted. There is a Semester system with each sem. having 2 minor exams and an End Sem. exam. As far as Scholarships are concerned various states (Bihar, MP, Andhra Pradesh, TN, etc.), and private scholarships are there which provide tuition fee waivers completely. (Does not include living expenses). The fees for the complete program are nominal ie. around 1000000 to 1100000 which is too low as compared to other private engineering colleges and some Govt. funded institutes.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now I am still in the second year and have not had enough time to look for internship opportunities but am very positive about the future and think that I am more than capable of getting an inspiring and illuminating internship that I like.
Placement Experience :
The Eligibility criteria for the placements are as that of other colleges ie. 7 CGPA or above. Though the On Campus Placement statistics might not look good Capable students still manage to get the boat to float through Off Campus placements. 1.3 Cr package by Amazon, other companies like Dunzo (22 to 28 Lpa), Deloitte, Legato, Synopsis, Infosys give packages around (18 to 14) and Cognizant, Wipro, Byjus's and TCS (6 to 10 Lpa). There are also a great no. of students cracking GATE 2024 AIR(29-DA,267-CS),(42-DA), and five others who got under 1000 AIR with a total of 59 Qualifiers.
Campus Life :
As far as Campus life is concerned it might not be as you might have imagined. Built atop the hills, with a very spacious area of 144 acres, the IIITDM Kurnool is situated in a very peaceful and serene Environment. Previously the institute lacked even the basic facilities like a stadium or ground but at last, these facilities are finally being provided. (which includes an Indoor stadium, various grounds, and arenas, etc., and a Gym facility) The institute supports club culture but there is still less participation by students. "SOLASTA" is the fest that the institute celebrates from time to time but not every year which depends entirely on the student body In the last 6 years SOLASTA has been celebrated only twice. The institute also supports NSS and conducts drives frequently. Hostels are new and well maintained, Food might be a troubling factor for some but putting taste aside it is very healthy,(nonveg is served on some days of the week which might pose as a problem for some).

Placement Experience :
Those students who are in 5th semister are eligible for campus placements. Around 70-80% students are placed every year in top reputed companies with decent salary. I received placement offer from TCS . That was because of placement cell of Ashoka.

The campus placement is really good . Most of the students get placed in small or big company at last the moto is to have a job not focusing on salary where the salary does not matter. above 75% is the eligibility to sit in the campus placement drive if the company give their eligibility criteria or else no.

Considering current job market the Placements and job opportunities are satisfactory with mass hiring companies such as Accenture, Infosys and Capgemini being the highest bulk recruiting service based companies where 20-30 students get placed out of a class of strength 70, students are asked to register in their Third year for placements , The eligibility criteria is to not have any active backlogs and ready with structured resume though students are filtered with their CGPA , they will be rounds of aptitude and problem solving and having good DSA background will help a lot . The Highest packages is from Infosys which give 16+ LPA to students with advanced DSA knowledge but majority are placed between 4.5 - 6 LPA . Many students opt for higher studies by preparing for competitive exams or use their strong alumni network to get referrals are big Tech companies.

Placement Experience :
The average annual hostel fee is around Rs. 48,000 per student (or roughly Rs. 3,000 - 4,000 per month.The campus offers separate hostels for boys and girls with furnished rooms. Students note that the rooms are kept tidy, well-lit, and offer options for both single and shared occupancy.

In my college,the highest package is 35lpa and lowest package is 2lpa. Many companies was visited to my college for placement like tech Mahindra, Infosys, auto desk. Coming to the placements, their was many competition to get the offer.
Good infrastructure but needs better faculty.
Placement Experience :
Students with cgpa greater than 9 are considered first for placements indirectly. They will get more companies. And there will be bulk hiring for most of the students. TCS , Cognizant etc will come . And I feel the placement training team CRCS will train the students mainly competitive programming . Because they focus more on this .Also they will teach you each and everything ranging from how to write the recruitment exam to how to attend the HR interview. Even if you want to go for higher studies, they will guide you through it. The average package is around 10 LPA. And the highest is 50 LPA. Most of the students are placed through the University placements itself.

Placement Experience :
Students generally are eligible for placements after completion of 3rd year. Top companies like amazon, Accenture, Infosys, paypal, TCS, etc offered placements last year with offers in range of 5-15 . Highest package is 44 LPA and average package is 9 LPA. Percentage of students placed is in the range of 70%-80%. I am planning to prepare for Bank exams after completion of graduation.

Job opportunities are countless for the students who are skilled. Both software and core jobs placements can be observerved in a wide range. Many multi national companies like deloitte, infosys, snovasys, TCS, Accenture are tied up with the campus for conducting drives.
