The admission process is purely online, firstly you have to fill the form online costs 50ruppee. then you have to wait to come the merit list of the course that you have applied for, you can get easily selected if uh have 75% in your 12th class, For some professional courses then conduct a PI round also, it can crack if you have confidence and little knowledge to that course.
I choose b.sc agriculture because I have a serious interest in agriculture and I see a better future in it. The faculty is good and their qualifications are good, all of them are P.HD degree holders with a lot of experience, their teaching method is based on practical things more than theory which is a good sign. There are a total of 8 sem in my course of which 6 are based on exams and rest last 2 are practical training based. Per semester fees are quite enough 25500 per sem, u can apply for a scholarship if you face any type of financial issues.
I have done an internship at ICAR-VPKAS, Almora, which was he by collage to grab this opportunity. if have done an internship with a scientist and other associates, learned various new things and it helped to grab a job after my degree comp.
In my opinion, not all courses get pre-placements, but only professional courses do, at last, sem, students get opportunities to sit in an interview round according to the cutoff of the companies. The average package gets around 2.5-4lakh after a bachelor's. it increases if u have done a master's. my plans after my degree are to get a job, so will be in collage pre-placement rounds.
Collage Fest is conducted every year by the president of the college, celebrities come to perform there. There are 2 huge libraries for students and a thousand of books. sports life is decent, my players were gone to the national level. For a hostel you have to apply for it earlier to get a room in it because of high demand, rest you can think about if it is in high demand.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
