- Academics are very important and conducted well here in CCET.
- Campus life is very good, as there are not too many students here, everybody knows each other and the atmosphere is really friendly. I am a part of the music club, 7Notes, and I lile it very much.
Dislikes
- There are a few issues as the Diploma department is also there with us, the students there do cause problems for us sometimes.
- There is an issue currently as there is no canteen for degree wing, we have to use the canteen established under Diploma wing.
Remarks :
Good faculty for mechanical engineering. The atmosphere is good for academics as well as co-curricular activities. CCET has very active clubs such as Corsa, ASME, 7Notes, Dramebaaz, etc. Admission to the college is through JAC Chandigarh, which you qualify for by taking the JEE mains exam. The cutoffs for CCET are not hard to achieve but not easy as well.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical engineering has always been my priority and the only options I had were CCET and UIET Chandigarh, CCET has a better core faculty for mechanical engineering. The faculty is really good and very qualified. The exams are not easy to pass, but only if you don’t study, the faculty is really helpful and would clear doubts and help with important topics even a few days before the examination. The cost to study in CCET is very reasonable and affordable, about 26k per semester is not too much.
Placement Experience :
The college has a pretty active Training & Placement cell, which is well-funded and supported by the college. Our college students avail 6-month internships in their 8th semester, which helps them get placed after completing their degree as well. A lot of recruiters visit our campus, like Kimbal, Jindal Saw Ltd (mechanical), etc. The average package from CCET is about 6.5LPA.
Campus Life :
The college has various activities throughout the year, Inter year sports tournaments and athletics meets, which happen every year. There is one yearly fest in the odd semester usually, it's called APRATIM. The music club organizes various events throughout the year, like introductory performances for freshers known as Consonance, CCET idols for singers, and the battle of bands, solo instrumentalists, and solo singing at Apratim Fest as well. The hostel is very affordable not the best but still very good. It’s just around 4k per semester and food is around 2.5k per month, the registration process for a hostel is easy unless you’re on home state quota. Hostel students also organise one “mata ki chauki” jagraata every year.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
