Don't blindly go for college package

- As a first year student I really like living in the hostel and enjoying hostel Life.
- We do way too many mass bunks,if all the students of a class are absent someday then the attendence won't be counted for that day,this is a really cool feature.
Dislikes
- We are provided two hostels one is RGPV whis is about 17 kms from college and other is NITTTR,which is about 4 kms from college ,so if you do not get NITTTR hostel then you have to travel a lot o a daily basis.
- The 75 percent attendence criteria is quite strict here,you have to face detention if your attendence is below 75.
Remarks :
The only major factors that made me choose this college were the package and the fact that we will get the facilities of Manit Bhopal, which is a good college. The placements are going down these years due to the recession, and we are too restricted to using many facilities. I got 97.6 percentile in jee mains and decided to join this college in 2023.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is fine we don't get too many extra subjects like chemistry and all. DSA gets started from the first year itself. Faculties are more or less fine here, the director has a helping nature. We have a mini test, mid-term exam, and end-term exams after which a semester ends. There is no scholarship for general students. SC and OBC students can get very high scholarships up to 2.8 lakhs a year, MP students get 100% tuition fee scholarship, UP EWS candidates get up to 50000 a year and different states have different scholarship policies.
Internships Opportunities :
Since I am a first-year student, I have not opted for an internship, but our 3rd-year seniors are doing internships, you need really good skills for off-campus internships. The college provides internships only after completing the 8th semester.
Placement Experience :
The placement record of IT Bhopal is fine, the average package in 2023 was about 2100000 for the IT branch, but it was reduced in 2024 due to recession. In 2023 the highest package was 8500000. Companies like Amazon, Cred, Slice, etc visit here. You can get good job opportunities if u are good at coding.
Campus Life :
So in IT Bhopal, hostels are provided only for 1st-year students, after a year you have to leave the hostel and join a PG or an apartment. As a campus, we are allowed to a small area where our classes are conducted, fresher students are not allowed to roam around the campus to avoid ragging from seniors, you have to refer to 2nd-year students as sir and 3rd and 4th year as boss. There are clubs like Aarzoo for music and singing, then there is IEEE, Arunoday club, codename club, GDSC club, and various others.

Placement and job opportunity is good in this college around 60% placed before start of 7th semester and 90% placed till end of 8th semester. Various company like Amazon , tcs , infosys , etc visit the campus. Highest package till now is 44 lpa and average is 6.5 lpa

The placement is quite quite good as year on years recently the placement was goes 57LPA to 75LPA and teh avg was 7-8LPA and median is 10LPA something. The college have 100% placement record every year and they also give grants and loans for students who wants to startup. But the internship support is zero like college are only focused on placement they are not foucing on internship.

I would like to say there are more job openings and internship programmes we had than a private college for both Graduates and Masters students. job openings in TCS/ banks and industries too. The thing is you need to put effort to grab a good opportunity. attain placements opening whenever you got notification from college groups. be prepared. ask your teacher to clear more doubts. However, I am the one who already had a job so I did not take from there because I was working in tech mahindra and its work from home in my favourate feild.

MBBS a rollercoaster ????

MBBS is concerned there is no issue with placement. As none of the doctors are jobless. And obviously placements are good one can work in well esteemed organization after just MBBS but more people prefer to opt PG course.
