Kirori Mal College or KMC is one of the top colleges at Delhi University. It is an amazing educational institution offering the perfect environment for the holistic development of students. The college campus though smaller than other mainstream DU colleges provides all the necessities for students. The college offers bachelor's and master's courses in science and arts streams.
The course I am pursuing is a B.A. Honours English, I chose it out of my passion and love for the subject and hence, enjoy it to my fullest. The course is all about literature and is the best choice for bibliophiles. However, something that bothers me about the DU course structure is NEP. NEP has modified the syllabus to include several courses that are meant to increase our strengths and abilities, bringing about overall holistic development; however, I believe this deviates from the core subjects and hence, students' attention is drawn to other aspects that reduce the depth of subject knowledge
Yes, I had opted for an internship but it wasn't from college sources but outside, I worked as a content writer for a month, and it helped me develop my writing skills as well as learn teamwork and website development. The initiation of a new organization helped me make meaningful connections and gain quality experience.
Kirori Mal College has its Placement Cell which is well maintained and managed by a board of teachers and students. Several famous companies recruit students for high-paying jobs from the institute. The Placement Cell also provides internship opportunities to the students while they are pursuing their degrees.
KMC being one of the top colleges in DU houses some of the best and most creative brains in the country. The students here are very smart and excel in their fields of interest, and a good crowd means good campus life. The beauty of campus life is enhanced by the college societies providing opportunities to develop, perform, and showcase your skills. The departmental, societal, and college fests add color to college life, making it very movie-like.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
