To get into a GMC you need to clear NEET-UG with a very good score. Every GMC has a 15% All India quota(AIQ) and 85% State quota(SQ). Out of 720 marks, For AIQ, above 610 and for SQ, above 585 marks were required to get admission in this college. This college is a nice choice for this range of marks as it's a well-established college from 2015 and also has PG seats. The college and the hospital are situated in the main city and you will get much crowd in the hospital hence providing good exposure for medical cases which is very necessary in the medical field. Apart from the curriculum, thextra curriculum is also at its best. This college provides excellent opportunities to shine in extracurricular fields, whether it be arts, culture or sports. Currently, classes are held on temporary campus which is, tbh, average. A new campus of 100 acres is in progress and almost complete which is an AIIMS level infrastructure.
I chose this course because I always wanted to do MBBS. The faculty is good and the same is the teaching method. However, theoretical study in this course is mostly based on self-study only. For practical knowledge, Hospital has good patient intake to get a vast knowledge of clinical exposure. Term exams are held every 3 months and difficulty keeps on increasing. Overall academics are nice.
There is a compulsory internship of one year after the completion of the course which is to be served in the District hospital or Rural hospitals in the District. It provides a stipend of Rs. 18,000 per month.
The course is of four and a half years. After that, you have to be part of a compulsory internship of one year in which you get a stipend of Rs.18,000. After that, you graduate as an MBBS doctor. You have to then serve a bond of compulsory government service of one year. You can also further opt for p by clearing NEET-PG or other postgraduate entrance exams. In thfirst year of service, you get about Rs. 70k as a salary which keeps increasing.
Currently, the college is at a temporary campus in the Ramnagar area where hostels are available but not for 1st-year students. However, Rented rooms are available near the College at walking distance. College has its mess and other mess options are also available throughout the locality. The best thing about this college is its involvement in fests and extra curriculum. Ganesh Festival Celebration, Shivjayanti, and Annual College gathering are some of the greatest fests of the college which also bring opportunities to showcase your greatest talents in culture, arts and sports. In sports, there is cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, basketball, badminton and many more games. Currently, the campus is temporarily situated in the Ramnagar area which is not so good, just average or above average. A permanent campus of 100 acres area is about to start near Ballarshah Bypass Road and that campus is just Awesome. If you have an idea of AIIMS Nagpur campus it is a replica of it.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
