Remarks :
SPICE for undergrads is a women's college. It has its pros and cons like every other college we used to have open discussions on topics that might be uncomfortable for the other genders and we used to find them meaningful but at the end of the day, you need to know the opinions and perspectives of the other genders too to completely understand a topic, afterall a coin always has two sides! The admission process was smooth and they do help if you have any problems or doubts. The admission process was merit-based and a one-to-one interview. The interview consisted of questions like, "why do you want to take this course?" And "What are you expecting after completing this course?".
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty is quite nice, and they take 75% attendance very seriously. The campus is small but enough for a mass media student. My major reason for taking admission here was their green screen room and the audio recording rooms, you get a hands-on experience with the best facilities. There are multiple eating spots around the college on a walking distance and since it's in Bandra, you get a lot of exposure to the entertainment industry. I had noticed that we as students hardly got off lectures during our 3 years there, they make sure to reschedule or make the most out of off lectures too. The teachers try to boost your thinking levels and creativity. They take two midterms in one semester(it helps you in preparing for the end sem exams) and you have a total of 6 semesters. With the facilities They provide I found 30000/Yr quite worth it, but if you are an outstation student then keep your other expenses in mind because they do not have a hostel for students.
Campus Life :
Mediathon is the official fest of SPICE and it is conducted in January. The library has all the books, newspapers, magazines, and editorials you need for the year, including digests. Since it is a women's college, we celebrate Women's day for an entire week and it includes lots of fun games and activities, where you can showcase your talents and fashion and everything a woman can do. There is no ragging in the college. There are different committees like the Performing Arts Club and The literary Club and they organize events frequently throughout the year. As mentioned above they do not have a hostel but there is one hostel that is associated with the college and is in the opposite lane of the college. It is run by sisters and it's quite affordable. They do not have a mess but you can call for Tiffins from outside. There are multiple other hostels around and the Bandra station is just 1 km away from SPICE.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.
The Time I Had Spent in my College

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
