During COVID, I thought I would choose the closest college so I chose SN college. I don't regret this decision. I managed to get admission easily since I met the cut-off. I have been fortunate that I had this college in my city.
I chose this course because I like managing and accounting. I didn't want to do normal BCOM, so I opted for the self-finance course BMS to expand my scope. The teachers are highly qualified with multiple degrees under their name and years of experience. The fees are affordable too. Term exams are also taken on time.
I haven't opted for an internship right now, but I will in the coming months. I don't know much about internships in our college for opportunities. Many companies do come every year and we are given opportunities to get some experience through it.
The eligibility criteria for placement is you have to pass with good grades which differ. Recruiters like Mahindra and Mahindra, Kotak Mahindra Bank, etc come every year for placement and make many offers for the students. The highest salary was 25000 per month and the average was 16-20000 per month.
Every year, the annual cultural festival of our college happens around January. We also participate highly in the monsoon festival organized by Mumbai University. Books are available easily in the library. If by chance, books are not available, under a week they order books. Many social groups like the Inner Will Club, NSS, and NCC, take up many social activities.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
