College is good in teaching, practical and other facilities. We have to clear a neet-ug exam to get admission in college and the cutoff varies according to the category of student. Like I am open category and my AIR in Neetug was 49000.
I chose the MBBS course because it has been my dream to become a doctor since childhood. Faculties are highly qualified professionals who are experts in their field and teaching. Teaching methods are very good which includes lectures, clinical practicals, technology and exams. Exams are conducted every 2 months and the difficulty level is medium. Fees hike approximately 10 per cent every year and the cost of study again varies according to caste/category. For open it is around 40 Lakhs for 5.5 years of course. For OBC/EBC/EWS it is half and for SC/ST there are no fees(except hostel and exam fees). All Scholarships given by the government of Maharashtra are applicable in college.
The interns are given by our college itself as directed by the government for 1 1-year period. It is compulsory to get a degree and part of it. The stipend is paid during internship but is very lit and nominal. Internships are hospital duties along with studies.
100 per cent of students get a job after degree completion as the Government of Maharashtra and central government give jobs easily after degree and also private hospitals hire us. We can either get a job or study for a further postgraduate degree.
Campus life is decent and enjoyable. Social life is good and Infrastructure is also very good. Annual gatherings and sports fest are conducted yearly in a June-July month. Other cultural events and sports events plus competitions are conducted throughout the year. The library is very very good and all books and journals related to tcurriculum are available in the library along with study rooms with AC. Classrooms are also big, comfortable with AC and for teaching there are digital screens and speakers. Sports events and extracurricular activities like quizzes, dance, singing, projects, etc. are carried out throughout the year. No social groups, clubs or websites are run by students. Hostel food quality and menu are decent and enjoyable. Registration for a hostel is done after getting college admission and is affordable. 2 students per room in the hostel with basic facilities such as a study table, cupboard, chair, bed, etc. Our PG is within walking distance from the college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
