There were no such interviews for the admission. Admission was solely based on MHT-CET and JEE exam results. The reason for choosing this college was because of Sinhgad which is a big name and other criteria like close to my home. this college provides quality education with good professors, well-equipped libraries, books, jour and digital sources. it has a vibrant campus with lo of events.
The reason for choosing computer engineering was my interest in computers and programming languages. the academics provided in the college were very relevant to the course with the course fees being average(not too expensive compared to other colleges.) I was provided with a government scholarship based on my MHT CET result which helped me reduce the overall fees of the course. the fees were constant throughout the course and did not change much
I received an internship in my third year at the college. Also when the hiring season starts, companies come for hiring interns. I also received and internship during the hiring season. So overall even if students find it difficult to find internships, the college provides them with a lot of opportunities within the college itself.
as Sinhgad is a big name, it receives several companies every year. the SInhgad training and placement cell includes big names which have contact with big MNCs that consider bulk hiring. Sinhgad also receives product-ba companies offering packages upto 20 lpa and more. in case students are finding it difficult to find companies, sing provides them internships in companies they have a tie-up with.
Sinhgad has its karandaks every year. the firodiya karandak which involves dramas and dances on a national level, and Sinhgad karandak named "Sinhgad techtonic" which holds inter-college events including technical events as well as several sports events. many other events like DJ nights and fairs are held at the main campus as well each year during the period of karandak which helps the students in socialising with other people. Sinhgad College provides a student hostel and a main campus along with bus facilities for students to travel to and fro from college.
The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
