The factors that made me take this college was that, the college has fewer fees for the courses as compared to other colleges. It is one of the best colleges as compared to other colleges in the region where it is located. The location of college is located on a hill making it a very beautiful campus that is surrounded by beautiful views of Nature. If we talk about the admission process, takes place through CAP rounds. The cut-off is high only for braches like Computer and IT for a diploma. The rest of the diploma branches have moderate cut-offs and are easily matched by students' marks or percentages. There is no entrance exam or anything like that. After CAP rounds you are selected for this college, you can simply visit the college, reach the admission cell and complete the admission formalities. The staff present their help in completing all those formalities.
I choose this course because I have relevant knowledge about the mechanical field. Besides I had a keen interest in machines and automobiles. If we talk about the faculties they are well qualified and some of them have completed their M- tech. while some are pursuing. If talk about the style of teaching they are good at understanding students' concepts. Of Course, not all of the faculties can do the same as they have their own way of teaching. Considering the scholarships, the students get scholarships like EBC which aids in reducing or contributing to tuition fees of students. Another is the Punjabrao scholarship which is for hostel students in which the money is credited to the bank account of students for their hostel and mess expenses if they are eligible for this scholarship. The fee is upto 40000 for general an OBC category. It is very less or Sc a St category. The exams are conducted from time to time as they are conducted by the technical education board and are moderate.
No. There are no internship programs but in place of internship, an industrial training program takes place which is very similar to an Internship. There is no stipend for this training. In the industrial training program, we were asked to take information about the industry what kind of machines are present in the industries what kind of work and taking place in such industries what are the needs of the customer and how are we going to full film than such kind of training we were getting during the industrial training program.
Talking about the placements and job opportunities many local companies visit the college for campus placements and recruitments. Companies is like JCB, Cummins, Bharat forge, and Honeywell was present for placements. Approximately 45 out of 75 students were placed and the rest of them opted for higher education. The students get eligible for placements after the 4th semester or completion of the 2nd year. The average package for students was from a minimum of 2 lakhs to 3.5 lakhs. The packages depended on the company profile and work profile as per the selection of students. Almost 60 per cent of students got placed during this time. If talking about my plans after my diploma I will suggest going for graduation courses to improve future opportunities.
Technical events take place like Technathon and Avishkar for students to present their technical skills. They are conducted at a time that is convenient to conduct them. The college has a very good library and there is a vast range of books present over there. The books are related to the syllabus or course. Also, reference books are available for each subject. The journals are available in less amount. The amenities that the class room is having like a projector for explaining concepts virtually. Good benches and big clas rooms. Sports activities are conducted through competitions and various sports are considered during these sporting events. This sporting even takes place during the sports day and it will talk about the extracurricular activity they are like singing and dancing competitions with take place during the time which is convenient to conduct these activities. Social groups like NSS are present but are only allowed to participate for students pursuing a degree. The hostel, and mess are also good
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
