The college is autonomous and comes under Savitribai Phule Pune University. For the BCA course you have to take the CET examination by government of Maharashtra to be able to apply for BCA. You can easily get admission here if you score well in the entrance examination.
I have done a BCA course here which is a bachelor of computer applications and it is a great course for students who are from a commerce background and want to join IT. BCA has all the coding languages which are taught in Btech and BE. The faculties are quite good and experienced even some of the newly joined teachers teach well but few teachers need to improve. Also, it has happened that if the student didn't like the teaching of any teacher, the college has assigned a different teacher for them. The exams are held a bit late than other colleges. The fee has not increased much and is still affordable for a 3-year course. Which 95k total. The scholarships are for OBC and SC/NT candidates and are provided by the government Maharashtra which covers the tuition fees. You can apply for the scholarships from the official Mahadbt website.
No there is no internship scenario in new arts commerce and science colleges. You have to search by yourself for internships but the teachers can assist you with that. You can opt for internships online.
There are very little to no placements here. You have to ask for placement in the department for it or opt for off-campus placements. I have been admission to MCA as there will be much better chances of good job in IT.
Every year a college festival named Blossom is organized by students in the months of Feb-Apr held in the private auditorium of the college. There are all types of books in the college library for students and the fee for that is 1 rupee per day for a book. The classrooms are modern classrooms with digital boards and screens and computer labs. There is not so good environment for sports and extracurricular activities here. You can opt for a hostel of college which is decent and the process for admission is quite straight forward. I chose to live in a rented 1RK apartment which is 1.5km from college where the monthly rent was 4k and the light bill separate which we shared in 3. Also, you can easily get shared rooms behind the college with 1200-1500 rent per month. The locality is decent and not too friendly depending on the area.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
