I joined this college in the year 2022 through JEE MAINS rank and no GD and PI are required to join my college. The admission process is quite simple just after getting JEE MAINS RANK go for counselling through 6 rounds of JOSAA counselling and 2 rounds of CSAB counselling. The cut-off for general category students is around the 95 percentile for general category students. The good thing about our college is that the fee is very low and good faculties who will help you get an internship easily and are industry-friendly. The bad thing is no regular event is organised for us students.
There are 4 types of courses offered in b.tech i.e. computer engineering, mechanical, metallurgical and materials engineering, production and industrial engineering and also M.tech and p.hd. I have chosen metallurgy because placements are best for metallurgy and also for GATE preparation because every year our college is successful in getting a rank under 10 in the GATE exam even though most of our seniors have secured ranks 1 and 2 in GATE. Faculties have completed their M.tech and P.hd from IITs and NITs and some of them have done from foreign universities. Exams are at regular intervals with two mid-semester and one end sem every semester. The question is prepared by our respective professors and is not more difficult but somewhat. Most Questions are from lectures only. Studying at this college is very cost-effective you will get a good return on what you have paid as fee. The scholarship is given to 5 meritorious students every semester in each branch. The tuition fee gets off.
This year I went for an internship in RINL Visakhapatnam for 4 weeks in 2nd year. Because as I am from a core branch I have to do at least one industrial internship. Mostly for campus internship companies like TATA metaliks, and TATA steel. Projects are mostly on manufacturing processes and operations involved also after the coming of a new branch of computer engineering internship opportunity shifted toward a software company and hope will improve in future. The stipend is around 30k per month grabbed by our senior in 3rd year of b.tech.
Placements here are good according to the core branch with the highest Placement of 15 lpa and an average of around 8. Mostly core companies like jsw, Vedanta, TATA steel, Bharat forge, TATA Autonomy, Maruti Suzuki, Hindalco etc visit our college for campus placement. After adding a new branch of computer engineering we hope software-related companies will surely visit our college. So be ready to grab the opportunity because most of our alumni work in software companies. Almost 100 per cent placement every student gets placement except those who opt for higher studies M.tech or MBA through IIM. I plan to get into top IIMs.
Campus life is descent and we have our cultural cum technical fest JINKS PRANAV which is celebrated every year once. library infrastructure is not good because it was built 50 years ago but ample books. The classroom is well equipped with modern facilities like a smart board and projectors etc and a good sitting capacity of above 200. We have many clubs in sports like badminton, cricket, football, volleyball etc and dance, music club, poetry club, racing club etc and most of them are run by student committee i.e Gymkhana. Hostel food is descent like other colleges and you can't get satisfaction through messy food weather you are studying in any college. Every student l in a college hostel because hostels are very good and available at quite a reasonable rate of 7500 per semester. We have 4 hostels for boys and two hostels for girls (an extension of the old girl hostel ). No one opts for PG or a rented room despite good locality.
For placements eligibility minimum 6 cgpa is good for job opportunities highest package is 1 cr and average package is 6 lakhs in this campus Percentage of students getting placements more than 75 percent per year they are getting after the degree
Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.
I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.
The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum. It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.
There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own
"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
