The college gives exposure to various activities, also this college has various other courses which help students interact with people of different backgrounds. The college also has a music room with a TV and many instruments to play, which helps students relax after a hectic day.
I chose this course as I am interested in chemistry. Talking about the faculty, the faculty is well educated with almost all the professors holding a PhD. There are 3 exams held in one semester, 2 are unit tests and 1 is the end seems. The fees of the college depend on your quota, for the general category it is approx 1.80 lacs per year. The college offers financial aid to students having less annual income.
The college provides internship opportunities from the third year of college. Many students visit the hospital or chemist shops for internships. Few internships are paid however most of the internships offered are unpaid.
The college provides placement from the 8th semester. Many companies visit the college, to name a few: Cipla, sun Pharma, etc. The highest salary offered is 4 lacs, 3 lacs being the average salary. Many students opt for further studies after completing their bachelor's.
The college has centralized air conditioning present, along with it there is an amazing library. The college has a fest named MET Utsav which is a 3 days fest conducted in the month of Feb-march. Along with the Utsav, the institute of Pharmacy has a fest of its name Lumiere. There is is sports day conducted in Feb. The college has a music room with various instruments to play and a TV in case you want to listen to music. Various indoor games eg table tennis, carrom is also there. The college has a vegetarian canteen serving great food. The college doesn't provide hostel amenities.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
