I have a keen interest in science as well as law. Hence, I was looking for a college that provided me with the best of both worlds. KIIT School of Law was the perfect choice for me. Bsc. LL.B (Hons.) course at KIIT has enabled me to study subjects like physics, chemistry, and biology simultaneously with Law subjects. Our Science professors are the ones also teaching the B.Tech students, which helps us be up-to-date and in touch with the B.Tech syllabus. As for the Law faculty, most of our professors are NLU graduates and graduates from Foreign Law Universities. The curriculum is student-friendly. We are also provided with a world-class library with books related to law and other related subjects which is accessible 24/7
I have been interning at Gauhati High Court under a renowned advocate for the last 2 months, some major things that I learned Legal drafting and practical work in courts and outside. Last semester I worked for HRNL, Guwahati. some major things I learned soft skills including communication and teamwork, drafting documents
The college has its own placement and training cell. Since the time of its establishment, the cell has been helping students to land jobs in various companies and famous law firms. We are required to do internships throughout the 5 years of college. After my graduation, I plan on either pursuing an LLM in International Law abroad or working as an international policy advocate.
There are many events, both academic and non-academic, and a yearly fest is known as KIIT FEST organized each year at the university level. Flash-mobs, performances, and various other events are very common in the university. There are societies run solely by students - which enhance and give exposure to the talents of the students. The university also provides immense opportunities to develop in the field of sports. Well-built clean and hygienic swimming pools, indoor badminton courts, basketball courts, etc. are provided to the students in various locations around the campus. The hostel is a secure residence for the students away from home. There are two room options: non-AC (32k per sem) and AC (60k per sem). Other Amenities and facilities like 24/7 water and electricity, bedding, and wardrobe are available. The messy food is still in the process of improvement in terms of taste, but the meals are balanced and well-curated. 4 meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch, Evening snacks, and Dinner) are provided.
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
