Firstly, This college is from GGSIPU university a reputed college. So, I was admission there. For admission, I prepared for the JEE MAINS entrance exam through which I filled out GGSIPU counselling for B.Tech. My seat was allocated to Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi. There is no interview or GD (group discussions). I went to college and filled and submitted the required documents. That's how I got the admission.
I'm currently doing a B.Tech in Computer Science and Technology at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, New Delhi. I think that somehow their curriculum is old and needs to be updated as the current job situation. Each student of B.tech of different departments has a common syllabus, which I do not think is beneficial for their career.
I have completed the first year just now and have not been able to do an internship till now. The college offers internship drives to students, but majorly second, third and fourth-year students are selected In the drive.
The college provides campus placements but is not able to give placements to all students. Many students go for off-campus placements. The eligibility criteria for students, I think is above 7.5 cgpa. On the college website, the highest placement is 1.2 Cr which is fake....
Campus Size is small containing 4-5 canteens having ok ok food. College life can be boring for people who are introverted or take time to make friends. There are many tech and non-tech societies from which one can learn soft as well as hard skills. In this college, a hostel is provided for only boys. Hostel fees are very expensive and not value for money.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
