First of all I was looking for SPIT since cut off of spit was high as I got 97.62 I didn't get spit even IT in spit in 3rd round so I have to take admission in VESIT There were no written exams and no interviews
For course curriculum they are Okay in the first year they will be going with Python java OOPs and c, All these in 1st year so I think this is fine In the 2nd year, they prefer c language for DSA which I think is not a good choice according to industrial needs they should prefer DSA in Java or C++ yet it is not confirmed which language they will prefer but they are giving us suggestions to go with c I am currently in 2nd year so I know up to here only
Since I am in 2nd year I will be opted for an internship at the end of 2nd year But for internship college your contacts in college will help you, contact means you should have contact with your seniors
For placement, the college shows that they have very high placements but in reality, there is much difference, they are showing that there is the highest package of 29 lakhs but it was in 2017 or 18 if I talk about 2024 placements college package didn't even cross 15 lpa Highest was 14 lpa which I think for a student who got above 98 percentile not fair and Jpms is the company that offers higher packages in VESIT college didn't hire even single students so I think you should enquire about placement before taking admission but according to my friends in 4th year this is the reality
Campus life is much more enjoyable if you are a socially active person but if you are concerned about your future or you want to focus on your jobs or skills I will prefer to stay away from these things there are so many events held in 1st year Talking about library: it will be very helpful, i will suggest you go and explore the library within the first week of your college it will be so very helpful because all types of books will be available there
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
