- The infrastructure of the college is extremely good as compared to the colleges of North campus. It is newly built and highly professional which give students exposure to the environment of corporates.
- The faculty of the college are extremely supportive and the have expert knowledge of their subject. The teachers pay personal attention to the students, spend time on clarifying the doubts and discuss real life examples and scenarios. They try to correlate the topics with the recent incidents and make it interesting.
Dislikes
- The campus life of SSCBS is a bit dull and most of the students are solely involved in surpassing others and making themselves better. They forget to enjoy the college life and the college is also less supportive when it comes to organizing events.
- The canteen provides very limited options and the quality of the food is also poor. Nescafe and Amul kiosks are quite expensive which makes it a burden to buy from them.
Remarks :
Factors: 1) Placement- The Placement of SSCBS is the best and highest among top DU colleges. The highest and average packages as per the latest report are 24 lpa and 13 lpa respectively. 2) Only finance course- Among all the colleges of DU, BBA(FIA) is offered mainly in SSCBS and SRCASW. For boys, SSCBS is the only option left for pursuing a finance-oriented course. 3) Professional environment- The infrastructure and environment of SSCBS is extremely professional like corporates and the crowd at the college is the best in the whole country. Every person tries to outperform the other and everyone is doing some or the other additional courses. There was no Group discussion or interview for selection. However selection took place through CUET and the subjects considered in CUET were English, General test and Mathematics for BBA(FIA) and BMS.
Course Curriculum Overview :
There are 3 courses offered- BBA(FIA), BMS and BSC. I chose BBA(FIA) because it is a completely finance-oriented course and good for students who are interested in the field of finance and investment analytics. The core subjects are taught by permanent faculty who are mostly PhD in their fields and they have extensive knowledge of their subject. However, for the rest of the subjects, there are guest faculties who are not that serious towards the subject. The exams were conducted at the usual time I.e. in December for semester 1 and in May for semester 2. The level of exam was moderate and mostly from what was taught in classes. The Total fees for BBA(FIA) are approximately 70,000 with a break up of 26,000+22,000+22,000 for the 3 years. Many private organizations as well as colle offer financial assistance and scholarships for students belonging to low-income groups.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies offering internships include Bain, BCG, McKinsey, EY, Dabur, LEK, Fibonacci X, etc. They offer internships to students for the profile of investment analyst, consultants, Research Intern, Data analyst etc. The projects generally vary according to the role. For the finance role, projects involve equity analysis.
Placement Experience :
The students have to meet the attendance criteria for placements. The top recruiters from SSCBS include Bain, BCG, McKinsey, PwC, EY, LEK, Dabur etc. They hire students for placement and internships in the fields of finance, consulting, data analysis etc. The last placement season witnessed almost 85% of BBA(FIA) students placed. The highest package as per the last report is around 26 Lpa and the average package is around 13 Lpa. The students usually go for placement and jobs or pursue a master's. Many students join top IIMs of Ahmedabad, Bangalore, and Calcutta to pursue Masters.
Campus Life :
The fest of SSCBS is Crescendo and it is held in April or May. It also involves prom night. The college is fully air-conditioned with a good infrastructure. The seats in the classrooms are not like school seats of wood rather they are professional. There are 4 lifts for students and 2 for teachers. The college lacks enthusiasm for sports. Though there is a sports society it is not very prominent in SSCBS. However, SSCBS has a very good social culture with almost 50+ societies in the areas of consulting, finance, environment, social etc. There is also a great culture to participate in national and international level Case Competitions conducted by various colleges and even corporations. This gives great exposure to students. The food quality and the prices of food at the canteen are average. The choices are limited but some of the items are good. There is also a kiosk of Nescafe and Amul.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
