- The college is good and full of greenery and the infrastructure was good at before and now as the new building is built it has improved a lot
- The faculty here is great you can learn a lot and campus life is overall great fun
Dislikes
- No availability of coaches for sports is agreat setback as students interested in sports have to work on their own they do not have any guidance or managed training
- Other can be that there are no such rooms alloted to societies there's a place called hawa mahal (named by students) where most of the societies operate.
Remarks :
I wanted to study geography so I took this college. During my admission time, there was no entrance or gd/pi it was direct admission on a cut-off basis and it was around 93 from the first cut-off and ended around 80-83 but there were variations for categories. The college has a good atmosphere and crowd and has enjoyable times.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is quite good and interesting to study. It tells us about how the social, physical, and economic factors influence geography how geography makes changes in the environment, and how the landforms are formed. The faculty is good and experienced the teachers like Tejbir Rana Lalita Rana Preeti Tiwari all have experience of 20+ years and they are great at teaching things and the assistant professors like Himanshu Mishra Rashmi Singh Ekta Raman are also awesome teachers. The term exams are semester-wise and take place at the end of each semester and tests are conducted once a month. The fee is high as compared to other courses due to the lab's maps and other facilities also the scholarship is given to economically weaker students where interviews are conducted and then their fee is returned to them not full but 60-70%.
Internships Opportunities :
My college time was divided into two halves one was under COVID and 1.5 half years went by the remaining I wasn't able to apply as I was busy studying for competitive exams so I didn't apply for any internships but my friends did and they had good experiences there.
Placement Experience :
There are no specific placements for this course students. There is a placement cell in the college where students join the groups and apply accordingly for internships and placements. Here there are no such specific placements that are for geography students but you can find ample opportunities in other fields. After graduation, you can opt for many career options like climatologist if you had nonmedical or medical in 11-12th. Urban planner, soil scientist, geologist, teacher, cartographer and many more. So overall it is a useful and vast experience to gain a degree.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is fun, the fest happens in April or March and it is always good and fun to be there. The crowd of the college is great too. Talking about sports there is a lustrous ground with tennis, basketball, cricket, and football but there are no coaches to teach and coach students. Students usually bought their equipment to play on the ground. There are many societies like NCC NSS fashion society dance society photography society and arts society they all are great for curricular activities and you could learn a lot there. There are no hostel facilities in this college you have to live in nearby pgs and flats.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
