NLU, Nagpur is not for the Beginners!

- According to me the major problem is Administration issues.
- Furthermore, the curriculum is more theoretical rather than practical.
Dislikes
- The gym is underequipped, and the hostels are poorly maintained by students.
- The faculty members are generally inexperienced.
Remarks :
As all of you know, the Common Law Admission Test, i.e., CLAT, is the required Test that needs to be taken by the student to get into any of the NLU according to their Rank. I chose NLU, Nagpur, at the time of admission because, relatively, it was a new institution compared to other NLUs. And some aspects of the infrastructure and facilities are still in the development phase. NLU, Nagpur, has a variety of specialized courses and electives. I only have one problem The campus is far away from the city, which is very time-consuming if somebody has to work in the city.
Course Curriculum Overview :
NLU Nagpur provides three courses: BA.LLB, BBA.LLB, and BA.LLB (Adjudication). I am currently pursuing a BA/LLB degree. I chose it because it had the most experienced faculty members in comparison to others. The institution's curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive legal education. In general, students find the academic environment to be rigorous and stimulating. The faculties also include experienced professors and visiting lecturers who bring practical knowledge to their teaching. We have a nicely stocked library. The university provides separate hostels for boys and girls with good amenities. Classrooms are also useful. The mood courts are the highlight.
Internships Opportunities :
I am currently in my fifth semester and have completed four internships so far. Our university course is so well-designed that we have a dedicated internship break after each semester. We have a 2-month internship break where we can do internships wherever we want because everyone has different interests. We also have an Internship Committee that assists you in finding internships and makes recommendations.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities at NLU Nagpur are gradually improving as the institution grows. NLU Nagpur offers competitive placement rates. Last year, a senior in his fifth year received TRI LEGAL's PPO for 14 LPA.
Campus Life :
Life at the NLU Nagpur campus offers a blend of both academics and vibrant social activities. University fosters a close-knit community, The relatively smaller batch sizes compared to some older NLUs. Students from different parts of India bring a mix of cultures and perspectives. Regular events and informal gatherings, such as movie nights and cultural celebrations like LAW KRITI, which is an annual function in the institution, are grand events. Several students run clubs focusing on moot court debates, MUN, and Legal Aid. Cultural clubs and sports clubs are also established for interested students.
Hostel Facilities :
All students admitted to the college, whether local or not, must stay in hostels. As previously stated, there are separate hostels for boys and girls. Rooms are shared by two students, are equipped with basic furniture, have attached balconies, and we have common bathrooms that are cleaned daily by the housekeeper. There are also common rooms in the hostel, which are equipped with a TV and indoor sports and activities. The hostel also has a gym, which is not very well-equipped but has the basics. Breakfast, tea, and dinner are all included in the hostel mess package. The food in the mess is 10/6; it is not always good, but it is generally acceptable. We also have centralised air conditioning in the hostel.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.
An industry focused learning experience

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat

no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
