- The non teaching staff of the college are quite cooperative.
- The faculty members are experienced, knowledgeable, approachable and cooperative.
- There are 3 canteens which cater to the needs of the students.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure of the college is quite average.
- The stock of some essential books is low.
- Sanitary pad ATMs have been installed in all girls washrooms but they do not work at times.
Remarks :
St. Xavier's College Ranchi is considered among the best colleges in Jharkhand. I had got quite good reviews from my relatives who have been alumni of this college. The admission process includes filling out the application form and qualifying for the entrance exam. Marks scored in intermediate/10+2 are considered but the marks scored in the entrance exam matter the most. Cut-off marks may vary according to the difficulty level of the question paper.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course due to my interest in the subject. The faculty is well-qualified and experienced. Professors make use of digital boards to teach and make the lectures interactive. The curriculum followed is to the NEP 2020 guidelines. Semester exams are conducted twice a year and internal tests are conducted frequently with moderate to high levels of difficulty. The fee hike has happened but it is still affordable.
Placement Experience :
Placements for the students pursuing courses like B.Sc and B. A is almost nil. Students of the Commerce section get placement though. Students pursuing B.Sc or B. They have to apply for off-campus jobs or they can continue pursuing higher degrees for better placement opportunities.
Campus Life :
The campus life is quite fun. The biggest event of the year is Xavier's Fest which is organised usually between October to January. Various competitions, seminars and events are organised from time to time. The library has a good collection of books but there are times when books may not be available due to less stock. Although the E-Library has a vast collection of books on diversified subjects. Annual sports day is organised in February and various sports events are organised from time to time. There are several social groups and clubs which play an important part in the personality development of the students. Some notable groups/clubs are NCC, NSS, Rotaract Club, Eco Task Force, Electoral Literacy Club and so on.

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.
Average University in Jamshedpur in low fee

You have to at least maintain 7CGA for sitting in placement season company like Wipro Infosys come here placement season. Average package of BBA is 4.5 lakhs. Almost 80% Student are placed through campus placement. My plan after getting degree pursuing MBA
My Dream College

College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .
Netaji Subhas University is best for engineering in low fee and for who is already doing job

You have to not active backlog in any subject. 8+ cgpa perefer first then below 8+. Eternal achievers, infinite solution, paul tech like local jamshedpur it company visit for placement. 80% students placed from our university. I will look for higher education.

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.

The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.

There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own

"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Expensive college with mediocre placements

Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
