I completed my 12th in 2021, it was COVID-19 and I was looking for a nearby college when I found out about Bharati Vidyapeeth University. The admission process was simple, any student who has passed 12th with at least 50% marks is eligible. Then you have to take a common entrance test that is BU-MAT. In this test, you have to score above 100 and after passing the test you have to submit original and Xerox documents. As for the preparation for the test, you can find resources related to it on Google and youtube for subjects like basic computer knowledge, English, maths, and aptitude.
Being a commerce student I was not eligible for Btech as its alternative I was admitted in BCA i.e. Bachelor in Computer Applications. The faculty was very approachable and experienced. Their teaching method was very nice as they explained concepts using real-world problems. There were three exams two unit tests and one institute exam. The unit tests were conducted at the completion of half the syllabus. The difficulty level was not that much if you studied well then you can crack the exam. The fees for three years is same but for new admission the fees hike was of 15%. Overall, The college is reasonable and has strong academic programs.
I did not opt for any internship, as our college does not provide any, but I am looking for it. The internship I am looking for is hybrid or mostly work from home. I have applied but have not yet received anything and I am also learning new skills which will help me in my internship and job.
My plans after completing graduation was to acquire some skills required for data analyst and then to apply for internships. As I have applied for master's, I am not looking for a full-time job. After my master's, I will apply for a proper job.
Life at campus is nice if you have fine group of friends. There were fest organized by our college Alkemy, it is conducted in march. Various activities and games are conducted such as bollywood day, traditional day, weightlifting competition, painting competition, treasure hunt, singing and dancing competition and etc,. The college infrastructure is well built and spacious. It has computer labs, library, quadrangle, game room, seminar halls etc. The college also organizes field trips, yoga camp, educational trips and many more. This year they have also started different clubs for students such as IT club, HR club, digital matketing club, editing club, and much more.
Well, I did not apply for hostel but some of my friends did. Their PG was nearby, it was at walking distance from college. It was quite affordable for them and limited people were allowed to stay in one flat which helped in reducing the rush.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
