I've chosen this college because this is one of the most renowned colleges in the Vidarbha region. I've seen the alumni of college have been successful in their careers. And the overall academic experience is quite impressive as per the alumni.
I chose a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science because of the current demand and global scenario of the industry, my passion was solving logical problems, so this was a perfect option for me. The faculties and the teaching methodologies are up to the mark. You won't face any difficulties regarding the academic part.
Many training companies offer courses for students to get internships and the teachers also encourage students to do add-on-courses. Online internships are arranged by the college for the students. I've done an internship with Goldenbird Education of Android App Development and I've acquired skills related to android app development and the maintenance of them.
Many companies start visiting campus for recruitment from the 7th semester onwards. Service-based companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture & Capgemini take campus drives almost every year. Sometimes, product-based companies like HP rarely visit campus drives. The highest package offered is 8 LPA and the average package is 3.6 LPA. Almost all eligible students get placed. The training & placement committee is also very supportive.
The college is a bit strict and it may sometimes give you school-like vibes, but when it comes to the extracurricular activities and fests, that's where the fun starts, there is an annual function every year where students can showcase their talent and skills apart from academics. During the course, many other activities are also arranged by the college. And there are department-wise clubs for students.
Actually, the college offers hostel facility only for girls, boys hostel isn't available. So boys need to rent a room or find some PG. But the cost of living in Amravati is quite affordable and anyone will find rented rooms easily. The college provides bus facility for girls. Now talking about infrastructure, the college is new as it was founded in 2009, so the infrastructure is fine and ample amount of facilities are available here. Next, the food availability in Amravati is quite impressive, you will find mess & restaurants that offer quality food at a affordable price. I've rented a house in an area which is 5 km away from college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
