Remarks :
Since I didn't get good score in JEE and I wanted a college either in West Bengal or Odisha, So I chose this college. You might get confused between ITER and CGU but as far as I know, there only a little bit of different between the colleges, and provide almost the same placement. You can take admission to this college through JEE Mains, OJEE, or CGET(University Test held online).
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was allotted the CSIT Branch although I wanted CSE. The course curriculum is good. The faculties here are quite qualified and provide a good education. Exams are held after each semester and the difficulty level is quite similar to other colleges. You can surely avail of Scholarships but you need to fall in certain categories or conditions to get a scholarship. The university provides a scholarship to the top 10 students of the academic year with some fee concession. Also, there are many Scholarships listed on the official website of CGU. The fee for Btech CSIT course is 225000 INR per year. And no extra or hidden charges are imposed. If you need to take a hostel there are different charges for different comfort levels. Such as 90000 INR per year for 5 beds non-AC and etc.
Internships Opportunities :
There are many internships available which are also provided by college but you should focus more on off-campus because one can get a better chance. There are also projects and tasks provided by the college.
Placement Experience :
I don't know much about placement but as far as I know the college gives a decent placement. It provides with an average salary of 5LPA to 6LPA to CSE and CSIT students, other courses may differ. A few recruiters who visited CGU are Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Cocubes, Amazon, TCS, Cognizant, Delloite, Accenture, ACC Cement, etc. The highest package was 45 LPA. Almost 80% to 85% of students got placed.
Campus Life :
The Campus of the college is quite huge, it's something like 110 acres. The environment inside the campus is good and no or least malpractices happen like ragging. There are multiple clubs available that students can join as per their interests. Infrastructure is better than average as it has buildings and every important labs, classrooms, a huge Library and every other important buildings. Orientation programs, Multiple events and fest are organised which can give you an idea about the social life. Classrooms are provided with smartboards and fine teaching equipment. The library is filled with a huge collection of books and journals. The University also has a sports center and multiple sports clubs for each kind of sport. Intra College events are organized among the students of the college. There are many social groups and cubs run by respective authorities and also seniors.
Hostel Facilities :
I have opted for the Hostel and i must say the hostel has very strict rules and takes needful action in every matter. There are total of 3 hostel for gents and there are multiple accommodation options for students like AC or non AC and number of students in a room. The mess is kind of good, you can never expect the best food from a hostel. But the food provided is good and eatable. When you pay the counseling fees for the college, you'll automatically receive an email with a hostel accommodation form, if you need to take a hostel. The Hostel fees: Non AC(5-6 occupancy) - 85000 INR Non AC (3-4 occupancy)- 95000 INR Non AC (1-2 occupancy)- 110000 INR AC (5-6 occupancy)-130000 INR AC (3-4 occupancy)- 140000 INR AC(2-1 occupancy)- 160000 INR You can also stay at PG but the transportation might be an issue if you don't have a vehicle.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
