Remarks :
You have to qualify Neet UG exam, and then participate in ojee / AIQ neet counseling with a registration fee of 1000 rupees. For 2022 the cutoff was around 530 marks and for 2023 it was around 540 marks. Our college is the oldest and only govt dental college in Odisha. As it is situated inside the prestigious SCB Medical College campus it is enriched with excellent patient flow, good infrastructure, and highly efficient faculties with all necessary study materials & instruments. And because it's a govt seat which is equivalent to MBBS I've chosen this. The bad aspects:- 1st the college outside is not very neat and clean, second the distance between dental and medical lecture halls is around 300 meters. Thirdly difficulty in balancing both MBBS and BDS subjects with practicals.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wanted to be a medical practitioner. As I couldn't get the MBBS seat I've chosen BDS which is next to MBBS. The faculties are highly qualified. Some of them are very strict. But most of them are student-friendly. Their teaching method is good but a little bit fast. From 2023 there are 3 internal exams and a final university exam each year. The exam level is moderate. The passing percentage is around 75%.
Internships Opportunities :
After completion of study, students have to do a 1-year compulsory rotatory internship in the college with a stipend of 42000 per month. Most of the students passed the final exam and did the internship.
Placement Experience :
After completion of 4.5 years, students have to do a compulsory internship for 1 year in the college. Govt will pay u 42000 per month during the internship. After internship completion, there are no official placement opportunities in the BDS course. U have to stay in a private or govt hospital on a contractual basis which is slightly difficult or u can have your dental clinic or u can apply for a job as a dental surgeon/ MDS for which u have to work very hard.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college tuition fee is 37950 rupees for 1st year and 26450 rupees from the second year onwards. Then another 2000 rupees caution deposit and admission fee. Yes, there are scholarships for SC, ST & EWS category students. The scholarship reward is 25000 rupees. Hostel fees are 14000 per year and the canteen/mess fee is 4000 per month.
Campus Life :
The college campus is nice with good infrastructure but needs improvement. The is a central library but it's not for 1st year students. Plenty of books available there. Our college has a student union that organizes so many cultural and sports events throughout the year. Sports like volleyball, football, cricket, bad Minton organized every year. There is a big basketball ground. The student union also organizes many seminars in respective subjects. Cultural events like Saraswati Puja, Ganesh Puja, Holi, and Diwali. Annual functions are also celebrated very beautifully.
Hostel Facilities :
U have to apply for a hostel on the day of admission. The hostel infrastructure is very good and inside the college campus. Hostel fees are 14000 per year and the mess fee is 4000 per month. Mess food is not that great but manageable. PGs are also available nearby at affordable prices as the college is in the city area.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
