To get admission to colleges under Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University you have to clear the IPU CET entrance exam and according to the rank you get colleges are allotted to you The factors that made me choose this University are it's affordability, placement and teaching style No, I didn't face any interviews or tests after the main entrance exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because of my interest in the computer field. Faculty teaching methods are very effective and good, faculty members are very helpful and supportive and highly qualified. Before every semester exam internal exams are held internal marks and extracurricular activities marks are combined with the external exam marks. Exams are of mid-level difficulty an average student can score up to 7cgpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First-year 105500 (93500 fees and 12000 security money). Second year 93500 (72500 tuition fee, 20000 university fee and 1000 student activity fee ). Third year 93500 (72500 tuition fee, 20000 university fee and 1000 student activity fee).
Campus Life :
IPU organises two main fests which are the sports fest and Anugoonj and each college under IPU participates and competes in this fest which helps in acting as a student to connect with different students and faculty across Delhi. Each college encourages its students to participate in this fest. the colleges also have their programs for Christmas Halloween Diwali teachers Day etc and also have their clubs.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
