- College has huge campus. Highly equipped classrooms, proper labs , great library, superb sports ground. So overall it has all one ask for in college campus. Faculties recruitment are crucial so only well qualified one can pass and survive here as the review is regular for performance. So I had fully celebrated and enjoyed my classes and after classes life at college
- Each class had projector which is connected through a high quality TOSHINA laptop. So quality of class are very good. There are multiple buildings for each course. Our campus had one of the biggest solar panel on the roof of buildings. Workshops are having the latest technologies and machines. IT lab was one of the best in Chhattisgarh.
Dislikes
- Although it’s hard to find out what I was not liking into the campus . It’s a conventional college which prime focus is quality education and quality facilities. Those who is looking for fun and chilling out in colourful cloths they will find very difficult . It’s a Gurukul kind of college. Discipline is the key here. Faculties are strict about core education.
- Classes had everything just in summer it’s very hard to manage due to heat as there are only fans no AC so that’s a struggle. Management is very strict about college timing and attendance. Your minimum attendance should be above 70% otherwise one has to call their parents for final semester form filling. Also once you entered into college on time then you will get free only after college time in between you have to take permission from HOD and the principal. So this was the biggest pain of each student-for this we used to call RUNGTA JAIL out of fun.
Remarks :
There are three major reasons for me to select this college. Fee is very much affordable compared to other state engineering colleges. The placement record of this college is highly convincing. Also, it’s one of the top engineering colleges in central India As it’s a Hindi-speaking state it’s way more comfortable culturally and socially which helps in mental stability and makes students feel less family sickness.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Mechanical Engineering provides diverse opportunities in the Research and development segment. I had a keen interest in this field. Also, I came to know that a few good core mechanical Companies are visiting campus and they are recruiting potential candidates which gives me confidence to choose this stream. Faculties are well qualified. Minimum master's degree holders are our faculties. They are reviewed by management every month by the Heads of departments and the core management. The chairman and principal are directly participating in the review of faculties to ensure higher outcomes. Students have three tests before final semester exams. College Test 1 & 2 and then Pre Semester Test.
Internships Opportunities :
I have joined SAIL Bhilai. So each student had to go for a minimum of two projects one was after the 4th semester and the second was into the final semester. So for 1st project, I worked in the welding department of SAIL for a month and last year project college itself arranged Project training on campus on MACHINE LEARNING. So it was a project of 1 month where they were teaching and making us perform in real.
Placement Experience :
So Placement was one of the major reasons to joined this college. The Training and Placement cell was very active. Firstly to make each student job-ready we used to get one-month of training each semester from 1st to 7th semester which is based on Soft skills training, Technical training and aptitude training. More than 50 companies are visiting our campus like Capgemini, TCS, Adani Power, Triveni Turbine, Reliance Jio and many more. Out of 700+ final year students, almost 350 plus students had offer letters in college farewell. Criteria to sit into placement is that it should be all clear no backlogs. Once one is placed into one company he or she will not participate in any other company. The average package was 4 LPA and the highest was 28 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For each semester tuition fee was 40k in 2012-2016. Other than tuition fees one needs to manage 5k per month on lodging and food for the college hostel. There is no direct SCHLORSHIP on tuition fees from the college side but one can avail of SCHLORSHIP from their respective state government policies of quota. As this college is in Bhilai Chhattisgarh almost every student of this state who is in quota gets state government scholarships.
Campus Life :
So campus is highly disciplined. We have a respective college mandatory uniform which is which shirt and blue jeans which is normally provided by the college itself. On campus, we had so many clubs and societies for different interests. For the annual function, there is a society in the name of VYOM, for the Debates competition we had a compendium, for social work we had an NSS group, for the Engineers day celebration there is a group, for the Teachers Day celebration there is a group. I was specifically part of a group which used to organise blood donation camps, social awareness camps, IT literacy camps, Old age homes and orphanage home social camps. So overall one will have a lot of opportunities to grow their intrapersonal skills via these clubs and communities.
Hostel Facilities :
I was in the hostel till 3rd semester. So it used to be felicitated with basic facilities like bed table chair cooler light fan. Our mess was pure vegetation mess. So food hygiene is very good. There are special foods on two days a week. The hostel had a time boundation at night. The hostel is on the college campus only. As campus has very good sports grounds which makes hostel life much more interesting with almost all kinds of outdoor sports.

I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. They are very easy to approach and helpful in nature, they help us solving doubts and gives us tips in study.

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

Placement Experience :
From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
